“Excellent place to stay mid town”

I was given excellent, professional service by a very youngish staff. They were not able to communicate well in English but did convey their best efforts and even went out to the street to hail a cab for me when I left.

I stayed at this hotel twice while in Japan. The staff was very friendly. The location was a little difficult to find at first, but once found, was in a very central station (hakata station). The washroom has heated mirrors so it doesn't fog up. The toilet has many functions as is common in Japan. You get "waffle-iron" pajamas to wear. Overall a wonderful experience.

“Good for the money”

The best thing this hotel had going for it was that it was a great location to the subway, bus terminal and good eating. The rooms were QUITE small and bed was hard, as they like it in Asia, but maybe this is normal for Japan. It was clean, had shampoo, conditioner, body wash in large pump bottles, which was nice. The TV stations left much to be desired. We didn't appreciate the X rated stations as we had children traveling with us playing with the remote! The staff didn't speak much English but was very friendly and helpful.

“Convenient and clean”

Wanted a hotel near Hakata Station for morning travel to Fukuoka airport. It fit the bill.

We arrived at this hotel mid morning after a long trip but were told that we could only have access to our room at 3pm. We did not know this previously and it was a real negative for us. The staff did however offer to look after our luggage as we wandered the streets of Hakata/Fukuoka like zombies. We did ask for a room with a view which we got Ok - the brick wall just 4 feet from us! The constant low speed hum of the Air Conditioner in this building you might also say was a bit of a problem and tested our coping mechanisms. The bed we had was comfortable for us but if you are on the largish size it would be a problem. There are lots of positives to mention but unfortunately they were outweighed by the negatives - big ones. Perhaps if you booked a Queen Size room with a real view on an upper floor you might rate this hotel differently. Oh yes and when we tried to send E/Ms with attachments, they would not go so I suspect the Interned access is being choked - so much for Free High-speed Internet!
