“Hoped for Better”

This hotel is perfectly acceptable, but having stayed at an Ibersotar in Brazil before I really couldn't compare the two. Traveled Aug 2011: Rooms: We had a side sea view room which was facing something of a cliff but the beach was visible. No sun bed on balcony. The bathroom is nice but quite dark, especially over the bath, and the shower pressure was not very strong but adequate. Toilet paper a bit hard too. Basic cane furniture in room. No drinks in the minibar but 2 large bottles of water which are replenished daily. There's a charge for the safe and a deposit for the key must be left. Restaurants: Didn't visit the themed restaurant but the buffet was quite nice with a good variety. Fresh fish is served daily but beef is not common here. Chicken is also served frequently. Good variety for children. Pool restaurant food is well made and hot but mostly burger, hot dog and pizza with a salad bar though lunch is available in the main buffet as well. No real provision of food after dinner. Bars: Cocktails made from fresh fruit would make a big improvement to the syrup slush they currently make. Big dissapointment there! Atomosphere generally good but a live act instead of a DJ would also make a big difference (at least once a week). No waiter service. Pool bar drinks limited to slush, soft drinks and beer. Pool: Didn't feel heated and very crowded around pool. This hotel needs more poolside space. Sometimes lucky to get a sunbed. Towels can only be changed every other day.
