As a regular visitor to Formentera, I would normally stay near the busy town of Es Pujols.Club Maryland was ideal as the Island in August is overcrowded and the hotel is situated on the quite side of the Island on the beautiful Migjorn beach. The complex is large and the bungalow we stayed in was a 10 minute walk to the restaurant and main area on the beach so not suitable if you have difficulties in walking; if not the walk is very relaxing to work off the ample food served in the restaurant. We had the all-inclusive deal and thought the food was very good and the restaurant was always very clean and well attended by friendly staff and management. For families with constantly hungry kids, the all-inclusive is ideal as food and drink is extremely expensive in Formentera although after a week the adults will yearn for something different. The rooms are very old style and basic but ok if you intend to enjoy the outside life on the Formentera beaches. Overall Club Maryland is a very nice place run by friendly experienced staff but one very BIG warning. Do not hire a scooter from the hire shop next to the reception. I was charged an extra 31 euros because the girl said it should have been returned earlier; this was the same girl that agreed the contract to 6pm. She was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. The lady in reception said she always has complaints but there is nothing she can do about it! come on management dont let her ruin your hotel, get rid of her!
