"Hubby and I enjoyed our stay. Bed was comfortable. Free beach chairs was nice. Loved the salt water pool and beach bar. Location was great, very walkable. The balcony was tiny but we asked for chairs and they delivered. No microwave in the room but again we asked and one was delivered. The nearby constructions was an eye sore, felt so bad for the businesses. The rooms in my opinion are overpriced but it is what it is due to the location."

"This house is in the most perfect spot on Folly! We love being away from all the crowds. The kids had the best time on the beach and walking to the end of the island was so easy from there. The rooms were set up perfectly for different aged kids, parents, and grandparents. One of the best houses we have stayed in. Scott is an excellent host, very quick to respond and very helpful! 10 out of 10 would come back!"

"We had an amazing stay at this property and would absolutely give it 5 stars! The location was perfect — close to downtown, yet peaceful with incredible ocean views. One of our favorite parts was sitting on the porch each morning and evening admiring the ocean and surfers.The home itself was spacious and very well set up for groups, with a great covered outdoor area and plenty of indoor space to spread out and relax. A huge bonus was that five of the bedrooms had private bathrooms, which made the stay so comfortable for everyone. The kitchen was also extremely well stocked with ample supplies for cooking and entertaining.Matt was a fantastic host — very accommodating, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable place by the ocean!"

"The ocean views and accessibility to the beach are top notch. If you want seclusion and privacy this location is great. The exterior of the home is beautiful and the views from every level are memorable. We loved the ease of going to and from the beach with children. Regarding the interior of the home - I would suggest maintenance is needed. There were signs posted regarding the interior stair railings stating to basically not use the railing due to it being wobbly and not secure. We had several small children on this trip and safety was a concern regarding the stair railing from the lowerlevel to the kitchen. There was visible mold on the lower level bedroom facing the ocean and bathroom it connected to (shower tile and vents). The closets smelled musty and kept the smell throughout our entire stay. There was a sign to not use the wine fridge due to a part being ordered but from the looks of the fridge it’s been a while since it’s been out of service. There was mold growing in this appliance. Simple paint updates are needed and since we stayed in May I would have thought the home would be in pristine condition for the start of the Summer season. We had to contact the host to come turn on the pool filter as it looked to be turned off on the breaker unit. Simple maintenance is expected when staying at a luxury beach front property."
Riverside Inn and Cottages

"We loved a one night stay at Riverside cottages. We were there for a graduation from college of Charleston. And our whole family had a beach house at Folly Beach so we decided to just rent one of the bedrooms in the cottages. It was very pleasant. Everything was clean a good night sleep. The bed was comfortable. The next morning was a great surprise. There was a little kitchen with a full breakfast buffet laid out with pastries, toast, muffins, coffee, juices, fruit, yogurt, and cereals! We were totally surprised it was nice talking to the other guest and being with the lady that ran the kitchen and the dining area. Everybody was very sweet and it was like we were staying in a guest house! Just beautiful, we will stay here again next time."
