“Enough space for all, with happy and friendly service, would love to go back one day!!!”
This resort has all the features of a big resort, but has the nice personal feel of a small one, being that all the staff are inidividually attentive and super friendly and helpful. Special mention to Kathy the tour organiser and the wait staff in the restaurant, they were tops! Close access to adventure activities nearby, best resort pool (we visited a few in fiji and this was by far the nicest). There are convenience stores across the road, or 15 min walk to supermarket, to stock up on cheap snacks, water and alcohol. We were a little disappointed with the size of our balcony (we were on 2nd floor which is the top), the ones on 1st or ground floor had a set of chairs to enjoy the view. This was made up with the ample amount of areas to relax around the resort. Once you adjust to Fiji time (not hussle and bussle but slow and steady), this place is a great base for a stay in Fiji.
“Breathtakingly Beautiful Fiji”
The resort and its surrounds were breathtakingly beautiful, much much more than we expected. The room was pleasant, clean and modern with everything we needed. The staff were super friendly, happy and helpful. The food was lovely, the majority of the menu was seafood. Extensive and delicious cocktail list. Ran a free daily activity program for guests including bike tour, fish feeding, coconut husking etc. Lots of free equipment available for use including kayaks and windsurfers. Also have a weekly fijian night at restaurant with fijian dancers, warriors and fire lighting ceremony. Walk straight off resort onto the private beach, and step into the bath temperature sea water, or dive into the resort pool. Close to shopping village- approx 5-10 min walk. Fantastic day cruise to yanuca island (and great price), picked up from resort jetty and returned there, superb scuba diving over coral reefs and tropical fish. Only thing we had a problem with was the '2 hour' drive to resort, we rented a car and drove, it took 2 1/2- 3 hours, very rough road conditions. Others we spoke to at resort took a taxi, for quicker and cheaper transport than hiring a car. We didnt need the car otherwise.
“amazing resort for adults only!”
Everything was just pure amazing. Walking into the loby, to your room and then all over the resort everything was just beautiful and well designed. The pool was awesome! I've never seen a pool that had a small swim in cave and the activites people were really nice and just wanted to be your friend. All the staff members said 'BULA' and made you feel like you were at home. The food was great but they have a set menu downstairs at one restaurant, luckly though the upstairs restaurant menu changed every day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! its beautiful and just really relaxing.
“Definitely 'the Pearl' in more ways than one”
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this resort. The Pearl has a fantastic resort feel to it, from the lush tropical surroundings to the fantastic pool with swim-up bar. All the staff were extremely polite and accomodating, and they kept the whole place spotless. Many activities to enjoy at the resort (we had a great kayak trip down the river), with spectacular views of the ocean and neighbouring islands. Good prices for food and drinks, and even better drink prices in happy hour ($6 Australian for a nice Cocktail, $2 for a beer). A short stroll to the Arts Village with lots of shops to browse, and many cafes/resturants. Convenient to the Fiji Zipline (1/2 hour shuttle) which is a must do! The only negative was that it's a 2.5 hour shuttle trip from Nadi airport, though our driver was very friendly and explained lots of local stuff.
“Most amazing staff”
The staff at the Pearl is far and away the nicest and most attentive I have ever had the pleasure of experience on a trip. They went out of their way to set up an extra boat excursion to an island because we had booked another excursion on the only day it ran. They knew from talking to us during the week how much we would like it and went the extra mile. We also wanted to experience the local events outside of the tourist stuff and decided to attend the Rugby Championship game. When we told the staff of our plans one of the team who was going offered to meet us in Suva and take us to the game as it was outside of the city and needed several transfers. It was a good thing we did or we might have gotten lost. There are so many other example of them going out of their way to make our stay one we will remember for a lifetime.
“Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff”
I would very much recommend this hotel to others. The hotel was beautifully presented and the staff were very pleasant and always willing to help. We stayed in a penthouse suite which was absolutely gorgeous. Spacious, clean and well decorated. The tour desk was good with the staff trying to help as much as they could.(I would recommend maybe booking in advance for some trips as we couldnt always get the tour we wanted) The grounds of the hotel were amazing, situated right on the beach with activities everyday. The pool was lovely, with hammocks everywhere! The two restaurants offered lots of variation with different meal nights every night. Its not really a family/child orientated hotel which is why we booked it as its more for couples or big wedding parties. The hotel is in a very good location for activities such as jet skiing, zip lining, shark diving however it is a good 3 hours drive from Nadi which is the only downfall as the transfers there and back are long. The other thing is the Nadi side of the island tended to have better weather and so we hired a car and drove round to the sunshine but this may not always be the case. However despite the transfer times and poorer weather the hotel itself makes up for this as it really is paradise!
“Relaxing Holiday, would go back in a flash”
Stayed here with a friend for a week, and we both fell in love with the place. A 78 bedded hotel, but it never felt crowded at times i could be the only one on the beach. We were there during a wedding and the Fiji Open so the hotel was full but it never felt like it. The food was lovely and the staff very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble . The only complaint and its a minor one was that on occasions in the restaurant we felt a bit rushed, the courses came out very quickly and the plates cleared even quicker. But if thats my only complaint its not a bad one ! The pool area was always kept clean and the pool was very inviting, as was the pool bar ! good selection of beers, wines and cocktails. All in all a fantastic holiday, the transfer is a long one though 2hr 30min from Nadi airport, but the views are worth the transfer, the hotel arranged transfers were always prompt and the drivers very friendly and knowledgable.
“Wonderful hotel!”
Great resort to rest & relax, grounds & rooms were very clean & welll kept, staff was very friendly & helpful. Great location & access for activities & to Arts Village was convenient for shopping or getting away for a few hours. Just remember, wherever you travel in Fiji your on Fiji time.
“impressive resort”
Me and my family really enjoyed staying in this marvellous place. The brekkie buffet was delicious and its free as well, cant wait to go back there with my family. I recommend this place to everyone going 2 fiji frm my heart.
“Peaceful Bliss”
Staff were gorgeous and friendly and helped make my daughter's birthday very special, singing to her, a flower arrangement and a cake with candles. The staff gave her big hugs and she felt very special. Hotel is in a beautiful location on a gorgeous beach and enjoyed a massage in a hut with waves lapping sand nearby. Food was wonderful and my sometimes fussy teenager was very happy. Cinema available for guest use with room service, Rosie Tours very helpful, but need to book the fishing trip and beach trips next time before leaving home as unavailable (?school holidays when we were there), but still plenty to do. Kayaking was great and can go along the coast or inland up the river running next to the hotel. Walk to the Arts Village and lunch at the lilly pond restaurant very nice. A shortage of pool towels and sunbeds at the hotel but always found somewhere to be comfortable, loved the hammocks. Plenty of space for guests to spread out. Happy hour cocktails and the band terrific. All of us want to go back!
