“Good, but there's better”
Radisson offered the same friendliness as other hotels on Denarau, but it is more of a family hotel. They have a poolside happy hour (two-for-one drinks), which might suit some, but does promote the "ugly Aussie". If you want a decent cocktail though, head to the Sheraton swim-up bar. The Radisson staff didn't know how to make a couple of cocktails that weren't on their cocktail list (e.g. a whiskey sour - girl went to use scotch whiskey and lime instead of bourbon and lemon.) Food is okay, but again Sheraton's is better, especially the breakfast buffet. Postives: Staff are friendly, rooms clean and comfortable and more entertainment.
“Good value for money”
The Radisson offers good service, nice atmosphere and is well located amongst the other resorts. The evening time entertainment around the pool is good and food is excellent.
“Great experience”
Great experience. Friendly people. Definitely recommend for couples and families or singles for that matter! Go resort hopping with a short stroll. Try out different dining experiences and actives at these resorts. Get your Fiji Dollar here at a good rate rather than in Fiji. Don't hesiate to bargain in Nadi...you can get upto 60% off easily.
“Beautiful rooms and amazing staff”
Very clean rooms and staff incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Good location and transport to shops and restaurants. Great facilities and activities available too.
“Will go back next year”
Lovely new hotel which is set up to cater for families. The pool bar is conveniently located in the main pool, so parents can still enjoy a drink at happy hour while watching their children play. They have in-house babysitters who are great and it's very inexpensive. The only downside is the cost of the food there which is really expensive. Next time we'll book a room that has a kitchen so some food can be made there. Highly recommend this hotel though.
“Warm and content stay”
Upon arrival, the friendly staff welcomed us and took care of our bags. We got to the room and it was clean, neat and modern. One minor issue I had was with the small ants but because the overall resort was beautiful, I could overlook it. Dinner at the award winning restaurant Cross is a must!!!!!!!! The food was absolutely fabulous. All fresh and not only was it beautifully presented but the taste was exquisite. Everything about this resort was a positive experience except for the spa Harmony Retreat. The main hostess was curt and standoffish. My sister and I had also spent a day at the Westin day spa nearby, and the service and standard there could not compare. We also got overcharged at Harmony Retreat but main reception rectified it upon inspection. Stay at the Radisson. It's beautiful. But avoid its day spa.
“Family, Friendly, Beautiful and Just Blissful!”
Hello Everyone, My husband and I stayed at the Radisson Blu for four nights and it was just delightful. The resort is clean (as I am an absolute clean freak) and gorgeous. The gardens surrounding the rooms are beautiful and the general layout of the hotel is easy with everything within a short walk. The staff were so down to earth and very nice. The pool area was great and there is a fantastic little decking area right opposite the beach. The restaurants were fantastic too and not too many geckos on the wall (as I have a phobia of them!) and none in the room whatsoever! We also stayed at the Fiji Resort and Spa Managed by the Hilton and we would 100x times over recommend the Radisson - especially those with kids and family (whilst the Fiji Resort and Spa was also very very nice and grand - we found that it was so westernised and so made for tourists' who just want a home away from home compared to the Radisson and just lacked that friendly down to earth culture that Fiji is renown for). Definitely a great stay! :-)
“Lovely hotel, lovely staff, wonderful for children.”
Lets be clear, Denerau is not real Fiji; it is a resort complex with the major hotel chains all next to each other on a man made island. What it offers though is the weather, the people, the sea, swimming pools, and facilities that would not be possible located on a small fijian island in the middle of nowhere without exorbitant costs. The Radisson, is the newest of these chain hotels, with a larger swimming pool complex, and a newer look and feel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and always clean. The staff were fantastic, and always hospitable. The kids club was great (though don't be guided by the room that you drop the children off at - it is pretty stark with no significant materials for indoor days); most of the activities are done outside and our children had a wonderful time. The Cross restaurant (their signature dining experience) was very good: the fish of the day had my wife and I in raptures. The main dining area - Blu - was fine, the buffet plentiful, though I saw a bit too much MSG being added for my liking. So overall, we were very happy with our stay; we thought the Radisson looked the nicest of the hotels in the area, and were delighted with how they looked after us and our children.
“The best hotel i have stayed in”
This hotel is lovely. Staff so friendly, so clean and tidy, everything you could need in your room. Close to the airport, but you dont hear any planes. lots of beautiful swimming pools set in paradise surroundings, handy bula bus to the marina for a small charge. Only down point which is no fault of the hotel is the beaches arent that appealing. Went for 5 nights but wish we would have stayed longer!
