"The cabin is beautiful and immaculate. We stayed in the cabin most of the time; is quiet and cozy. We wish the bed was bigger and comfy but, other than that it was a good experience. We stayed there from April 15 to 18; the weather was perfect and we saw a big bear in the woods which made our stay even more exciting y (pictures and video were taken). Even better was the living space with a side area for small children. We brought along the Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy we were raising and his crate fitted nicely in the living room space. "The home is charming, immaculate and amidst woods with no neighbors in eye or earshot. It is on a dirt road, so an awd vehicle is a good idea. A stream runs along the driveway. The Ottauquechee River is across the road. The bathroom is on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. The smoke detector goes off if you saute on the stove. "We really enjoyed the chalet, super clean and very new. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful, we spent so much time on the balcony with the kiddos looking at the water. Wish the weather cooperated a bit more so we could enjoy the fire pit area but it was still really nice. I’d recommend this place as a quiet retreat or as an option during the ski season for sure.
