Very nice hotel. There was no air conditioning and the WiFi was spotty. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the staff was friendly

It was very hot without AC. None of the windows could be open. Unit was dirty , old, dark.

Restful Stay
Fresh air and peaceful area. Lots of tennis courts! Very spacious. The lodging was along our next destination on our road trip, thus we stayed here.

Perfect stay.
Meeting with relatives in the area. Hotel restaurant was great for a large party and the room set up was perfect for a family of four.

Needed a local hotel.
I was in Germany to buy a motorcycle, a very brief visit. Just needed somewhere to sleep really, this hotel was near to where the motorbike was, and ticked all the boxes.

Bed set up was disappointing
Room was close to a noisy extractor fan, hotel staff at night promptly switch it off when we asked. We booked with for one double main bed and 2 singles. The double bed was a sofa bed, we specifically asked and agreed for this not to be sofa bed...disappointing and uncomfortable for 2 nights

We left the lights on in our car and the battery was dead. I told the hotel staff & they had the "caretaker" come around & gave us a jump. We were delayed 15 minutes at the most.

A nice place to stay
The rooms and hotel were clean and spacious. The bathroom was outdated and smelly. Staff where ok, not the standard one would expect from 4 star but ok. There is no elevator so the hotel is not disabled. Friendly.

Great sport hotel, really good restaurant....
Hotel Empfinger is a great Sport Hotel and also close by several good attractions (like Hohenzollern Castle). The restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was top notch. The staff was helpful and friendly. We also had a great time playing tennis on the indoor courts - quite a nice change of pace while touring Germany! A great hotel and well recommended.

OK hotel, nothing fancy
Hotel is close to the highway which made it suitable for my needs. I got a nice big room which was nevertheless a bit out dated stylewise, a big flat screen tv and ok wireless internet was available though. Gym is also from the '80s, don't expect much. Restaurant served me a very nice dinner but the breakfast was so-so. The main thing at the hotel seems to be tennis, they have several indoor and outdoor courts.

Nice hotel close to hohenzollern castle
Plenty of free parking and our room was very spacious. The hotel also had a restaurant--the food was quite good and was probably the only place to eat in town. Just a short drive to hohenzollern castle-about 15 minutes.

Checked out early. Bad mechanical rumbling noise all though top floor all day into the evening. It quit at night but came back early in the morning. Staff said it was a ventilation fan from the restaurant. Right by noisy highway. Without air conditioning, you need to open the windows to keep the top floor rooms cool but then you hear traffic all the time. WiFi was very poor. If you could even get connection, it was extremely slow. Breakfast buffet was OK but not worth the amount charged.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen direkt an det Autobahn.. Zimmer war gross und sehr sauber, Dusche extrem klein, aber sauber.. zwei einzelbetten Restaurant war in Ordnung jedoch Preis/Leistung nicht... Service könnte freundlicher sein... Frühstücksbuffet war um halb 10 schon fast leer und wurde auch nicht mehr aufgefüllt... Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind werden wir wiederkommen einfach wegen des Standortes wegen

Wunderbar, immer wieder gerne. Super leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmerausstattung ein wenig älter und ohne Klimaanlage aber sehr sauber und gepflegt. Einfach Klasse!!!

Unkomplizierter Zimmerwechsel, wegen des Teppichbodens, ich habe eine Hausstauballergie. Sehr freundliches Servicepersonal. Wegen Corona kam ich nicht in den Genuss des tollen Buffets (wie beim letztjährigen Besuch), was ich sehr schade finde, aber verständlich ist.
