“A European Gem, Off The Beaten Path”

This place is easily in my top 2 or 3 hotels, and I'm picky with my hotels. The staff bent over backwards the entire time, and the concierge arranged every single detail of every single activity I did, to include a private driver for all activities. This hotel completely nailed the small details and was "smartly" designed. Elegant, distinctive, comprehensive, but not snobby like other hotels I've stayed. Primarily a winter resort area, but it was beautiful in the summer; nice climate, green, mountainous, great sightseeing and hiking. The hotel had a library with billiard table, Wii, televisions, fuzbol table, you name it, to include the entire Harry Potter book collection in Slovakian. Very friendly at the spa...again, not snobby. Enough of the staff spoke English such that I never had to ask twice, because if they didn't speak English, they immediately sent somebody to me that did. I could go on, but I'll just end by saying for those who like those places "off the beaten path" of mainstream global tourism, this should be on your list.
