“Great alternative to expensive Cortina de Ampezzo.”
This is a beautifully restored hotel with great ammenities and a wonderful breakfast. The hotel is clean and modern. The spa is well appointed and the staff was very pleasant and accomodating even with limited English language skills. The views from the hotel room of the village and the mountains was magnificent.
“Wonderful stay at friendly hotel”
My husband and I had a wonderful two-week stay at this hotel. It is an easy 30-minute drive to Cortina d'Ampezzo (we rented a car) with ample parking all around the hotel. There are a handful of delicious restaurants down the street, in which we found ourselves to be the only tourists. All of the employees, from the front desk people to the service people in the restaurant, were incredibly friendly. The included breakfast was delicious with great espresso drinks, fresh fruit and pastries. The rooms are very clean and modern and we had a balcony. They have free bike rental for hotel guests so one day we borrowed the bikes and went for a ride on the bike path. Their attached restaurant has speedy service and delicious food. We decided to spend two days at a mountain hut and were surprised when we returned to the hotel and the employees were all worried about us because they had noticed our absence -- something I would never expect to see in an American hotel! The hotel has a very nice family type atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again if we come back and I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.
