“Raddison Gem”

My partner and I had a week stay here in July. In our opion, the hotel is superb. There are numerous choices for dining, drinking, swimming, lounging, travelling, sightseeing.... you name it. Pricey? Well, yes. But very good quality. Service, from all the staff, was nothing short of fantastic. I could not work out if the service was a result of training or nature. But it was always great. The facilities never felt full. There was always somewhere to sunbathe by a pool, or have lunch. We ate at nearly all the restaurant options through the course of the stay. They were all, at the least, good. I had a fabulous steak in one and veal with prunes in another. My partner had a very memorable squid ink resotto dish. Niggles? Some. The bed was hard. I liked it, my partner did not. The location is a good way out of Dubrovnik and from any local centre. So the taxi service, water and car, was well used. The public decor seems, somehow, old fashioned. We never tried the Spa, but it looked as good as everything else and was popular.

“best resort for a family!”

This is one of the best family inclusive large beach resorts around. I have rarely seen a resort with such comfortable family apartments at this price point. Restaraunts on site are very good and the grocery store is so helpful with kids. Amazingly quite and natural given the size. This is the only holiday hotel we have ever returned to and will likely do it again. This is my first truly positive review of a resort.

“Impressive despite service issues”

We stayed in a two bedroomed seaview appartment with our two teenage children. Following a very frustrating check in experience, not what you would expect from a five star resort, we were won back by our accommodation. Immaculate, clean, spacious and well equipped for a leisurely holiday. We took breakfast on one of our two terraces each morning bar one.The breakfast we took in the resort restaraunt was an expensive and disappointing mistake. The views from our appartment were to die for. The hotel pools, sunbeds and towel service excellent. Water sports were available on site albeit there wasn't any parasailing due to a payment dispute between the hotel and the provider. The hotel manager ''managed'' to organise it for himself - slightly annoying. There was plenty of choice for eating in the resort both for lunch and dinner, service was mixed but the pizzas were fantastic for lunch. We found drink prices to be in line with our experience elsewhere but the proximity of the supermarket eased the over all drinks bill. The shuttle bus and boat service although on the expensive side were very comfortable and reliable and to be honest two, or a maximum of three, trips to the old town is sufficient. Don't miss out on taking a catamaran trip round the islands. Our skipper made it an experience to remember. Would we return to this hotel - for a relaxing week in the sun- definitely. In fact we've already checked out the prices for next year, but next time armed with insect repellant .

“A Five star experience”

Right from the start I was impressed with the service! We were able to arrange an airport transfer direct with the hotel via e-mail with their guest relations. Checking in was simple, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 12th anniversary and they had arranged some complementary wine & food in our room. The location we found was ideal, stunning coastal views and only 20 mins from Dubrovnik. Any problems we had although minor were dealt with swiftly and to our satisfaction. My only issue was that the "Marina pool" was closed without explanation from Monday 12th, admittedly we did not ask for 1, but perhaps some signage could have been displayed. My wife and I really enjoyed the resort and its facilities and would certainly " seek out" Radisson Blu as an accomodation choice in future.

“A beautiful relaxing hotel.”

This hotel is extremely well appointed. We stayed in the main body of the hotel with a beautiful room overlooking the sea. There is a good choice of restaurants and bars on site. They are more expensive than eating and drinking outside the hotel but so is every hotel I have ever stayed in. The spa and pools are superb. There is a fantastic range of treatments on offer. The hotel is about 8 miles from the old town but the hotel offers a regular shuttle bus for 70 Kuna return. I would recommend doing a water taxi at least once. It is a beautiful to see the old town and you arrive into the beautiful old marina. A taxi from the airport to the hotel was 47 euros. It takes around 45 mins.

“The perfect spot for an indulgent beach and city combo.”

WEchose this new hotel for our honeymoon as we were looking for somewhere relaxing and luxurious which would cater for all our romantic whims but was close to an intersting destination as we get bored sitting by the pool everyday, although we were keen to spend some time doing nothng in the sun. The Radssion Blu Dubrovnik fitted the bill perfectly and we were not disappointed when we arrived (approx 30 mins by cab from the airport which the hotel boked for us in advance). The room was bigger and more spacious than it looked on the website and the view from the room took our breathaway. They happily catered for our honeymoon requests, even giving us some unexpected freebies. Room service and the mini-bar were predictably expensive but free bottled water is provided even though the tap water is drinkable. The facilities like the pool and spa are all stunning- the best I have seen at hotel. The website gives the impression of free transfers by boat to the old town which isn't the case- there is a charge, but transport is very easy to arrange and is prompt and curteous. Our airport chauffuer even recommended a photo spot and took a stunning shot of us. There is a multitude of bars and restaurants- higher in price with Dubronik town but on a par with London prices. We were looking for affordable luxury for our special trip and we both felt thoroughly indulgent here without all the fuss and prentention that comes with some places of its kind.

“Delightful Hotel”

A lovely hotel, with friendly staff and everything we could have asked for. This resort made our first ever trip to Dubrovnik a very enjoyable one. Would recommend to everyone; families, couples, singletons. Will not disappoint. 10/10
