“A great place to stay.”

Beautiful views, fantastic service. The bathroom was so well designed it was an education in what is possible. We stayed in room 32 which gave us 2 views - I recommend it.

“Fantastic value.”

We had a brilliant week. The staff were helpful, friendly and highly organised. Although breakfast is the only meal provided, the hotel gave discount vouchers for local restaurants and their recommendations were fantastic. Buses to the Old Town, as well as other local destinations, are cheap and frequent. A range of excursions can be booked through the hotel reception and the one we took to Montenegro was well worth the cost. We will definitely consider booking the hotel again and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Excellent hotel, value for money and very friendly family run hotel”

Can't fault Hotel Berkley at all. Great value, clean rooms and really helpful staff. It's a great family run hotel. Location is convenient, just a short bus ride to the old town and the shuttle bus to and from the airport drops you off near the hotel. Excellent hotel, I would definately recommend and hope to be back!

“Very Modern”

I just stayed overnight, but it was easy access to the busline into the Old town. The rooms are very contemporary and big especially for Europe

“Great home away from home”

From the moment we checked in until we departed we had superior service. This small family owned and operated hotel provides guests with prompt and friendly services that made our stay in the Dubrovnik area enjoyable. They arranged for a private guide and driver to tour nearby Cities and historic sites and also arranged for transportation to and from the nearby marina for a sailing charter and to and from the airport. In the morning you are greeted with a cooked to order breakfast and buffet. Several other restaurants and services are within easy walking distance. We had a lovely sea view room with balcony that overlooked the Cruise Ship docks and beautiful harbour. The rooms are neat and clean and very comfortable for a short or long stay.

“Exceeding Expectations”

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, our rooms were large, air-conditioned with beautiful bathrooms and huge beds. Everything is simply done - no luxury touches, but everthing one would need, including substantial breakfasts. Our teenage children particularly appreciated the pool, and, as the temperature was over 30C every day, it was great to come back to the hotel in the afternoon to cool down. The hotel is well situated for the airport bus & excursions by boat, and a good, but manageable walk from the old city. The Gruz harbour area has several reasonably priced places to eat, and it is fun to walk around in the evening and cast covetous eyes at the super yachts moored up along the quay. The Berkeley definitely exceeded my expectations.

“Excellent hotel”

The room was clean and the breakfast good. Air conditioning works well although it takes a short while to start up, as does the TV. Staff were very friendly and helpful and advised about buses, restaurants etc. There is not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel except a walk round the harbour but the old town is only 10 minutes by bus or half an hour walk (steep roads en route). The Gatto restaurant is quite near and very good value, especially with a 10% discount voucher from the hotel. Unfortunately it is on a road which can be busy opposite the bus station. It is worth considering the Dobrovnic Card which includes entry to the walls and 10 bus tickets. The hotel will organise transport from the airport by email, rates on their website, which was convenient and good value.

“Great Hotel”

The hotel is very clean and comfortable and room we stayed in was a good size. The staff were really welcoming and very helpful The hotel is in Gruz and about 30 minutes walk from old town which will not suit everyone. The bus service is good though and it is very handy to the port.

“We did not want to leave”

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room with king size bed, balcony and fridge. Breakfast was well organised and re-stocked regularly. My only complaint is the location - its a 30 minute walk into the old town. However the port of Dubrovnik is beautiful. The benefit is that it is cheaper than staying near the old town and the walk into the old town is simple and sign posted. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would also highly recommend a holiday in Dubrovnik. We are already planning on going back. We did not want to leave.
