“Okan”

Location is good. Breakfast includes very limited selection. Toilet in the room is very small as well. This hotel does not deserve 4 *.

“Will defintely go back”

Hotel is near at the shopping mall and metro train station. Good for a short stay visit. Breakfast is same everyday but it was ok.

“Novotel City Center - Jan 2011”

An excellent value and superb location across from City Center. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of my room this time. Even when I mentioned it to housekeeping, they could have been more meticulous. Other than that service was not bad. BTW do not use the taxi service provided by the hotel to go to the airport - it is more economical to call Dubai Taxi and order a cab yourself. The hotel concierge tried to discourage me from doing this however it was very easy to do and cost less than half the hotel taxi fare.

“Practical Option”

This hotel provides a practical solution for short business stays. It is located at the heart of the old city center and relatively new. However, rooms are bit small.

“Very good location, expensive extras !”

Ggood location with a wdie accessability to all the grounf trasportaions, the tourist sites seeing bus is just around the corner of Diera City Centre. Internet in the room is very expensive, you have to arrnage for an alternative, Cyber cafes are near.

“Good Service, Great Location”

I routinely stay at this hotel because it offers good service in a great location at a great price. I like that I can walk accross the street to go to the mall, particularly because taxi lines from the mall can be quite long. The gym and pool are nice, though with the surrounding buildings, the pool is not great for sunbathing in the morning.

Area recommendations

I like City Centre mall and am not much of a beach person, so I prefer the Deira area, which is close to the airport and to shopping and services.

“Good for what we wanted”

We arrived in the early hours of morning just wanting sleep, I had booked for the night we arrived so the room was waiting. Check in was fast and we slept in till 9am. Location was good and the staff were helpful. Two suggestions-more pillows in the room and longer breakfast availability. A lot of flights get in in the middle of the night and its often 2 or 3 am before getting to bed. A light breakfast or brunch until 11 or 12noon would have been perfect. Also 77durhams for tea and toast is a bit much when you can have the same in the mall across the road for 18 durhams. Generally a good 'safe bet' hotel in a strange city. I would stay here again.

When to go

Don't go in summer, the heat is stifling.

We did the desert safari with Arabian Adventure-highly recommended. A lot of fun.
