“Pleasantly surprised”

We booked this hotel at the last minute. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The service is what really made it. They provide free valet service for your car, porter service for our luggage, and helped us up and down the front stairs with our baby stroller every time we left and came back. This may be routine at some hotels, but not the ones we can afford to stay at. The people were all very nice and helpful. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but very workable. They have huge closets and a nice tub/shower. We ate at the British pub there. It was tasty, but overpriced. Within walking distance is a Spinney's grocery store which has a great selection of food.

“Great place to stay!”

The room's are very modern looking, very clean, very comfortable. I have stayed there several times throughout the past three years and I have never been disappointed. The prices are good if you order through expedia, just if you plan to stay any extra nights past the time you booked already go back into expedia and book more. If you don't and let the hotel book you it will cost you atleast 100 more dirhams. Everything really is good there and as I travel through Dubai for the next 3 more years I will always call that place home.

Getting there

From the airport just pay the cab 50 dirhams - that is all it should cost to get you there.

“Great for single or twin share - does not provde well for families.”

Whilst the rooms were large and comfortable, the accommodation is ideally suited for twin share and not for a family of 4.

Area recommendations

Taxi travel is cheap - able to get anywhere quickly and cheaply.

“2 small lefts for 30 floors. also do not forget anything in your room.”

Hello, the location is OK but the main problem are the lefts. The are ONLY 2 lefts for 30 floors. They are also so small. Waiting and waiting and it is so crowded. The room as well is so small. Breakfast was the same for 4 nights and also it was so crowded. I have lost 2 shirts during my stay. The room manager replied rudly to me. I will never come back even if they pay me to come back.

“This is a very lovely hotel, and would love yo stay there again.”

When you arrive it is like you are on a magic carpet, the check-in people are very helpful & courteous. You can either take yourself to the room or the bell-boy will take you there. once you see the room it is like walking into a palace, well laid out bed is comfortable, nice bathroom. food in the restaurants is very nice and is reasonabley priced. Swimming pool is well maintained and has a life guard on duty. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Getting around

It is easy to get around in taxi's as all the drivers speak English and they are not expensive.

“Not as pictured”

The pictures not what the reality is. It doesnt feel like a 4-star hotel at all for the following reasons - The guy for the valet service is never there, everytime you pull up with your car you have to look for him to get the card, same for when you're leaving and need your car to be brought out - the furniture in the room looks as though its more than a decade old, absolutely no decor to justify the 4-stars - the bathroom layout and amenities are the absolute basics - there is some pipe with running water just above my room so i get to hear that from time to time - the service at Lavazza is horrible - overall i regret booking at this hotel, other 4-star hotels i've stayed at in Dubai are way better than Majestic
