Fairly new hotel, convenient located for metro and Mall of Emirates. Tiny rooms for a Dubai Hotel but nice with fridge and coffe making facilities. Great rooftop pool and beachchairs. Small gym with good machines. Friendly staff. The breakfast not my favorite. Good value for the money, have stayed there twice and will again

“Superb Hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, the location was perfect very accessible to malls and metro station! Our room was very clean, there is a daily room service. Hotel staffs were very nice and approachable. The hotel facilities were amazing. We are planning to go back in Dubai and definitely we will stay again in Citymax Hotel!

“Low cost, clean, updated, and very convenient.”

I booked here as a referral from a friend. This hotel is not meant for 7 star travelers, but I was impressed with the newer, updated rooms and their cleanliness. Reception was very helpful. Check-in and checkout was a breeze. The rooms are not large, but they do not waste any space. This hotel is perfect if you need a room that you will not be in all day. This place is really good if you have plans in the city and just need a bed without amenities that you will never use (that you have to pay for indirectly at other places). The proximity to Emirates Mall is great (1 block) and the restaurants right across the street are a huge plus. This hotel has a great bar, a lounge, and a restaurant all on the first floor. They are able to offer a lower price (I guess) by not offering the "free toiletries" like soaps and lotions. The showers are however equipped with a soap dispenser and so is the sink. For the price charged this is the perfect hotel to stay in if you are just in for a night or two and do not plan on being attached to your room. The neighborhood is clean and safe, it is in close proximity to the highway, and there is plenty around to keep you busy. From a guy that has stayed in millions of hotel rooms on business and pleasure, this one is a breath of fresh air. I was happy and I will be back.

“Great hotel!”

Pros: For what you are paying for, it is a very good deal. 1. Very close to Mall of the Emirates (MOE). Great for shopping and groceries! 2. MOE Metro Station is connected to the shopping area. 3. Because of #2, it is very accessible to and from all tourist attractions within Dubai. Really! Use the Metro (gold class!) and the feeder buses to avoid the heat and save big on time and transportation (taxis are kinda expensive if used often!). 4. Because of #2, you can easily go to and from the airport. Great for solo, light, and ultralight travelers. 5. Great food with a ton of other choices just outside the hotel and inside MOE, with I think enough variety to satisfy any type of craving. 6. Good breakfast options. 7. Bar at the ground floor with live band (as of May 2011). 8. Free wired internet access (as of May 2011). 9. It is a brand new hotel. Cons: I can't think of any!

“Dubai Escape”

Friendly helpful staff, lively and live music in one bar, and nightly multi sports matches advertised and live during the evenings in the other bar. Good and value for money lunch daily, healthy food!!! Excellent roof top pool with comfortable loungers and attentve staff.

“Citymax Al Barsha, loved it!”

For the price of this hotel i was really impressed. clean, friendly, all amenities catered for, modern, wifi (paid for in public areas), plug in internet in rooms. Hairdryer, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, lots of sockets and mirrors. Roftop pool, which had towels, small and a bit crowded but every want was covered with the rest of this hotel. Its a 3 minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates, and 5 minute walk from the Metro station. I took the Metro from the airport which cost me 11 dirhams in Gold Class. Breakfast cost 30d dirhams and was buffet style, room service was reasonable, and there is a 24hr coffee bar, along with 2 bars serving food, (one a sports bar, the other a live music bar). This is my 7th trip to Dubai and the best hotel i've stayed in so far by a long way. Really nothing at all bad to say about this hotel. Would i stay here again, i most certainly would without a moments hesitation.

“Fabulous location with excellent customer service and value for money - will return in 2012!!!”

Hotel with excellent staff and great service. Located across the road from a fabulous Italian. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here they accommodate and anticipate your need. Location is second to none, less than one minute walk from Mall of the Emirates, taxi to the beach approx 25 dhr, moments away from metro service. Modern hotel with contemporary decor and wonderful gym for a stop over hotel ad lovely roof top pool. The bed is incredibly comfortable, I loved it! Recommend that you don't stay on the second floor as the bar can get quite noisy and sometime could hear this from our room. Pool space is limited and people try and reserve the beds, the way of getting over this was to explain to the attendant that this wasn't fair and that you go and sit there regardless ..... Towels are provided at the pool which is handy! Will definitely be returning to Citymax with my boyfriend at least twice in 2012 as its great value for money, great service, so clean and exceptional location we'd be crazy not too! Book now and enjoy!

“Good basic hotel”

I have stayed in this hotel before and enjoyed , the only thing that could be addressed is that because the bathroom is small, the door stop in the bathroom, is, in my opinion, in the wrong place, so when you have the bath mat on the floor it covers this and can be painful if you happen to step on it, it could be moved nearer to the hinged side of the door to stop this from happening.

“Very Impressed”

Having stayed at other hotels in Dubai, the City Max is lovely. It is certainly not a 3*; more like a 4*. The roioftop swimming pool is lovely - the lifeguard is very friendly and can offer an umbrella as it gets incredibly hot. 36 degrees last week. The pool is chilled and there are ploenty of sun beds to relax on. The gym is well equiped. There is internet computers x2 at 20DHR per hour. The bar in the hotel is excellent, with a great live band on every night and friendly bar/door staff. staying on my own I had a lovely stay at City Max - really good location only across the road from the Mall of Emirates.
