“convenient,comfortable hotel”

good hotel for the money spent. We had a standard room, but found it was just too small, so upgraded to a larger deluxe room. Our friends also booked a standard room, but their room was almost double the size of our original room, so they do vary. The buffet breakfast was ok, but the breakfast staff could do with a hurry up as they let things run out and don't refill them without some encouragement. Overall, good value for money.

“Business Hotel”

Business hotel close to centre of old town. Rooms small but clean. Transportation to and from airport. Buffet breakfast poor, but overall reasonable value for money. Two free bottles of water supplied in your room, but these are for the length of your stay and are not replaced daily.

“Good Breakfast”

The best thing was fresh and good breakfast daily. They had good variety of Veg. dishes too. Fruits and food was daily prepared and fresh.

“Not impressed.”

The staff were very helpful and were very nice. The hotel was quite basic. There was a telephone outside my room in the hallway on the 3rd floor which rang during the day and night which I found really annoying. I couldn't watch tv because there wasn't a good reception. Breakfast was almost the same everyday and it wasn't that nice. I asked for an iron and ironing board. The first person I asked had forgotten, so I asked again and I was brought an iron and a sheet - no ironing board. I was told I would get an ironing board, but one never came. The locals in Bur Dubai stared at me as though they have never seen a woman in their entire lives. If you want a basic, cheap hotel, then that is what you're going to get.

“Convenient location in Bur Dubai”

About a five minute walk to Dubai Creek, Dubai Museum, abra rides, etc. With the new Al Fahidi and Al Ghubaiba metro stops on the Green line, a ten-minute or less walk can open up the entire Metro to you. It is an older building in the older part of Dubai. This is an economy hotel which served its purpose. There are several restaurants nearby featuring a variety of tastes, including many from India.

“Internet”

The Internet doesn't work in the rooms. I had to carry my laptop to the main lobby to use the Internet. That was pretty frustrating. Everything else was OK.

“Broken promises”

The gym was a major disappoinment, most the equipment did not work and the rest was poorly maintained. The pool resembled a paddling pool and the sauna facility was also conviently out of order. The location of the hotel left a lot to be desired and the constant battles with the car park attendent left a not too favorable impression. On the plus side however, the staff were pleasant and professional and the buffet breakfast I have to say was very much appreciated.

“Not as Advertised online”

The hotel was very poorly located in a side street, surrounded by fake watch shops etc, the hotel staff were unhelpful, and unfriendly, especially front desk and restaurant staff, although the men were generally better than the women, Our passports were taken for the duration of the stay, the gym was closed for "renovation" although the only work being done in there were staff members watching TV, the pool was adequate but verry small, although i wouldnt recommend it for small children as it was very deep in places and seemed quite dirty round the edges, going out in the surrounding area was an ordeal for my partner as everyone stared at her constantly which made her very unconfortable and it was very disconcerting for both of us. the whole area felt like a backwater of the city and not at all like the rest of Dubai, especially Jumeira , and new Dubai (around mall of the emirates etc), BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT TAXIS AS THEY DO NOT KNOW THE HOTEL AT ALL, ASK FOR THE ROYAL ASCOT HOTEL, WHICH IKS PRETTY MUCH OPPOSITE BUT ON THE MAIN ROAD( 5 MIN WALK MAX) or even better stay there.
