Great location for island transfers!
I had a stopover here on my way to Nusa Lembongan and had a great stay. The environment is beautiful, breakfast was a good selection and the room was spacious and had all that was needed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant is on the beachfront - a great location for catching the boat to the islands. I had a massage too and was really happy with the spa service on-site - easy! Would stay here again

The staff were very accomodating and looked after our every need . The established gardens were beautiful . The pool area is lovely ; could do with a few more lounges . The building itself is showing its age now . Tiles in bathroom needed to be cleaner !

There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Sanur. Like a lot of people we made our choice based on price and the pictures on the websites. It was a good choice. Sanur itself is a quiet resort, certainly compared to Kuta. It is a starting point for many of the ferries to the islands. Diwangkara hotel is well positioned in a great location with direct access to the beach and the ferries. The hotel has quite a few negative reviews on line; we can see where some of these are coming from but think that people are being a bit harsh. The towels do need replacing, the bathrooms need refurbishing. But they are clean, breakfast is good value, the restaurant looks onto the beach, the pool is excellent. The best bit was the staff who were pleasant and helpful throughout. We stayed for a week and were very happy there, using Sanur as a base to explore the island. Would we stay again? If we go back to Sanur then definitely.

Traditional Indonesian Style
The hotel was exactly what we hoped to find in Bali. We had a great and clean room with a good bed. Every thing worked well. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Quaint hotel
Very much enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff who do their job well. Rooms was in need of some refurbishing. Fresh coat of paint. Bathroom needs to be upgraded.

Canadian Girl in Bali
This is a very nice property with beautiful pool& right on the beach! The Manager& staff are all very helpful at arranging cabs or recommendations where to eat! The room was huge with a stocked mini fridge& it's very quite at night for sleeping. You also get a delicious welcome cocktail& mini massage which was an excellent surprise. The hotel is at one end of the Promonade which goes on forever, but if you like walking as i do it only takes an hour or you can rent a bike. Overall, it's Good value for your money& i'm an a woman traveling alone& felt totally safe staying here😊

Very handy location for Island transport.
Stayed one night. The staff at check in were very friendly. The room DJ or the price was great . The bed was comfortable for Bali standards. Linen a little grayish. Spa had the best massage. Hotel restaurant on the beach lovely food and service for dinner. Breakfast included in room price was very good. Enough choices. Unfortunately the pool was under repair due to earthquakes damage. With one night stay we didn't miss using it. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Old Original Balinese Hotel
The hotel has faded charm but work is starting on upgrading some areas. Restaurant served very good breakfast and food in the evening is excellent. Staff are young ambitious and gracious. All facilities worked and gardens are well established. The area is quiet, unlike the centre of Sanur and the more popular modern hotels. The best coffee in Sanur is at the Kopi Kiosk next to the restaurant on the paved walkway. We chose to stay here as my wife uses a wheelchair sometimes and the paved walkway which runs for 7kms was well suited for taking her out and about. Both my wife and daughter used the services of the Spa/Massage in the hotel and said it was excellent. I did not go as I am extremely tickleish!. Prices for food and drink are comparable with other hotels on the stretch. If you like to people watch, this is the place to do it. The beach is full of locals in the evening and at weekends and they are very friendly and nice to talk to. All in all, we enjoyed our 15 nights here, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was half full, just the way we like it.

Relaxing beachfront hotel
The location on the beach near the Sanur beach walk is the reason we chose this hotel. The gardens are lovely and the restaurant is pleasant--looking out over the beach. The beach is nice, though it is adjacent to the public beach and the public market stalls so tends to get crowded on weekends and holidays.

Peaceful and relaxing, but needs a reno.
Stayed here 1 night as accomadation I had booked elsewhere was very poor. This is a very old and dated hotel, rooms are basic but with a comfy bed. Aircon was good, small fridge and a shower over bath. I much prefer a seperate shower. Plumbung was showing its age so getting the shower right was a task. The grounds of the hotel are very nice, as is the restaurant and bar area on the beach. Dinner on the beach was very nice. Hotel is at the top end of Sanur beach near all the cruise departures, lots of market stalls around, and they wernt pushy.

Mistaken as local (indonesian) me and my parents were not entertained the same as other tourist especially by a lady staff at coffee house. Not even good morning greeting. Our table were almost full of used plates and was only cleared after i called and spoke in english. And she showed her sour face throughout the breakfast. Eventhough are Malaysian, we paid the same price as the westerner. And we should be getting the same friendly treatment. We were here 10 years ago and it was better then.

This hotel is very close to the beach and a couple of restaurants. It is an older style Balinese hotel but is good value for money. The pool area is adequate but is a little tired looking.

Like a home away from home
From the moment I walked in I knew I had made the right decision to stay at Diwangkara, the staff made you feel like a regular guest returning once again and I could not fault anything to be honest. I'm actually booked in again on the 12 August I liked it so much. A big thank you to staff and owners for a truly enjoyable stay.

Check in was fast. Staff were very polite & helpful. Beach was 2-3 mts. Walk. Air condition was working well. Local tours can be organised through reception but a bit pricey. I will recommend the hotel to every one because of budget price &a proximity to the beach.

Friendly hotel
Only had one night on our way to Lembongan, staff were very helpful and friendly, good breakfast, on the beach at Sanur, and only a few steps from the fast ferries, small swimming pool but nice and clean, room is basic Bali style, but perfectly adequate, air con was good and quiet. Would recommend this hotel, and would certainly stay again.

Nice affordable hotel next to Sanur Beach
I always stay at Diwangkara Resort when I am arriving back from Lembongan Island until return to Australia. It is right on the beach. Even though it is older style, it is charming and you get everything you need.

Very nice staff. The room and food ok. Shower was very difficult to rinse under due to very limited spray. Few restaurants close by. Lots of foot traffic morning and afternoons passing by for ferries. Overpriced in my opinion.

Large room. Porch with chairs and table. Enter from a side ally, rear faces the beach & waterfront pathway. Hotel beach is small. Near street that accesses the beach, shops & food stalls. Friendly, helpful, good breakfast. Convenient to Persia Sanur bus stop. Good TV Channels.Lovely courtyard. Up to date rooms. Great location for people watching

Its an older hotel but fabulous location that backs up to the beach and is right beside the market! The beds were comfy and the buffet breakfast wonderful, but the showers were weak and there was only 1 outlet in the room. The office had outlet adapters free to borrow which was a huge blessing but on the negative side it took well over 20 minutes to check in. I think they don't check their online bookings because when I booked 6 weeks before staying there I made a request for a pickup at the airport and they finally replied a few days before my trip (at which point I'd already made other plans), and when we arrived and I said we had a reservation they didn't have any record or printouts. Completely disorganized (but friendly). They had to "prepare the rooms" and didn't offer juice or water, or have drinks to buy from a cooler - not pleasant in the tropical heat after a long trip. Overall you will enjoy this stay.

big bedroom / sitting area and bathroom ....what let it down was the bathroom and overall cleaning in general.. it was just a bit grubby ,,nothing that an hour or so spent with a bucket of bleach and a scrubbing brush along with new fiitings ... it would transform the room into something really nice,,, ..otherwise a great hotel which i will deffo stay there again

Before this trip. I was here 30 years ago. Still as beautiful. Just wish the country would do something about recycling . The ocean is so dirty. Plastic, clothes, trash wrapping around my legs.
