Everything was perfect for us. Very quiet but still close to all shops. If you want to go to nice beaches you need a car. The beach that was close to the Vila was not very good. We will come back next year again.

We liked the privacy and layout of the of the villa, the opportunity to close doors in the main living area and have the air conditioner working. The pool was fabulous and the Villa's location to beach and restaurants is great. Easy walk in either direction to shops and further hotels and restaurants on the beachfront.

This is not five star and also not a resort - no bar and the restaurant is a tiny casual thing that is only breakfast and lunch. (Not really a restaurant it’s just part of the lobby with a few tables and chairs. They charge for a late check out even if there is no one coming in for the room that day. They are privately owned villas that just get let out when owners aren’t there it isn’t a resort really. Staff is friendly, quality of the villas and amenities isn’t 5 stars at all. Housekeeping didn’t even come the second day

We were upgraded to a larger villa which was absolutely beautiful. In a great position in the middle of Sanur near restaurants supermarket and shopping. Wouldn’t change a thing and will definitely return to these villas

Very big and spacious, every room had a big bathroom, clothes got washed every day by housekeeper, but didn’t like the fact that the housekeeper and the ones from the other villas came in and out as they pleased.

Great villa in good location
We stayed at Emerald Villas for a wedding and this is the first time we have ever stayed in Villas. We loved our private pool and yard area as well as the big spacious 2 bedroom villa. Our room was cleaned every day as well as our washing done. There was a big water bottle for us to use which was replaced when low, will be back

Wonderful Holiday
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at Bali Emerald Villas. Our unit A2 was clean, comfortable and offered privacy. There is a daily maid who goes about her work in a quiet, professional and friendly manner. The pool man and gardener both come each day to maintain the grounds and pool. The main street and beach are only a few minutes walk from the villa. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops along the main street.

Spacious but dated villa
We had high expectations for this villa as it as heavily advertised as 5*. However, we were a little disappointed as it didn’t live up to the high standards which had been set by our two other 4* villas in Bali. The whole villa was very dated, the outdoor space was very shady, there was no working hair dryer and it was missing basic toiletries. Saying that, the villa was very spacious and we enjoyed having an outdoor shower and the maid did our washing each day which was definitely a big bonus!

Unfortunate Experience
Unfortunately we arrived and there appeared to be a mix up and they did not have a room for our intended stay. They did accommodate us for one night and it wasn't really nice. We felt they they must have move some people around to free up a room for us and the room was not clean. Even the bath towels were still wet and smelly from someone else's stay. One positive was the fact they they did arrange an alternative accommodation for us the following day for the rest of our stay and this was at a different location which was very nice.

After initial problems nice place to stay
Arrived at midnight and was not put in the place we booked, beware there are three parts to Emerald Villas. After the first night we complained (although we had asked Expedia to sort) and were moved, the first villa looked the same but was old and dated, it certainly wasn't 5 star more like 3 star and was at the back on many streets which were dark, long walk to the beach. If you book then Expedia should ensure the company deliver on what you have booked. We then moved to the same style place but better furnishings and not so old. It still wasn't 5 star, 4 at the most. The maid we had was lovely and very discrete so you could get on with your holiday. It was nice coming home with clean clothes. Overall good holiday but I would be wary of the 5 star reviews, we went to Nusa Dua and the hotels there are 5 star

Real nice Villa
Nice villa, well keep, we were told that it was owned by Sydney inventors. Credit to them as the place has a nice feel to it. Well decked out. We have stayed in Villa's a lot and this would be the best. Good location for shops and food, if yr a beach goer then it's just down the road. This villa was set up to feed yourself or get a local cook to do it. The actual complex as for meals, NOT good.Poor in fact. Had to order in meals form out side and pay cash, not booked on yr hotel bill, poor. As for me , health reasons i have to have breakfast, so we went to Hardy's and got cereal, even though there are many restaurants close, getting food early was a problem,not opening @ 0700 didn't suit me. Would stay again , no problem.

Beautiful Villas
when we arrived we were told our room we book would not be available for a few days and were sent by taxi to Golden Villas. At first I wasn't all that pleased because all my excursions were for hotel pickup at Emerald Villas. The front desk said they would try and contact the tours and have it changed. They said they were unable to do this so I rented a scooter to travel back to Emerald Villas for pickup. The villa at Golden had three bedrooms (two locked off)living room, full kitchen with a large swimming pool. When our transfer date came we were very comfortable with our accommodations and didn't want to transfer to Emerald Villas so our maid complained to the management that they were taking her guests away. We were offered to stay. She also was able to change the hotel pickup with tour guides over the phone so we didn't have to travel to the Emerald Villas each morning of a tour. Kadek (sorry if spelt wrong) was wonderful and helped to make our vacation wonderful. Both Villas were beautiful and would stay at either again without question. Emerald has the main office and has a restaurant. Golden is more secluded and private. We were able to order from the restaurant and have delivered which was nice if needed but eating out is not a problem restaurants every where (never had a bad meal) The scooter was helpful getting around to the beach and restaurants so kept the whole time

We had a beautiful villa, quiet, in a great spot in Sanur. I would love to go again as a couple. However we have 2 young boys and they are very loud so we felt the villa was not appropriate for families as we were forever telling them to quiet down. We were only there on a quick stop, but would be a definite recommend for couples or sensible older kids etc.

Excellent luxury villlas
Excellent 12 day stay at Emerald Villas. Our three bedroom villa was huge with lots of living space and large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Large private pool and beautiful gardens, which are tended to daily. Villa comes with own housekeeper who ensures villa is kept clean and beds and towels are changed daily, along with managing all laundry, which was fantastic and meant we came home with suitcases full of clean clothes. If you are looking for a luxury villa in a great location in Bali, this is the place to go.

Spacious villa in beautiful garden
The living area of the villa was huge and open to the full sized pool and garden. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything very clean. Our maid was unobtrusive and kept everything spotless. The villa was close to lots of good restaurants and the beach. I look forward to returning.

Terrible experience. Ruined my holiday.
We arrived and we're told the hotel had NOT received our booking even though Expedia had confirmed my bookings two days before. I even rang Expedia and the hotel told THEM our booking was honoured as promised but told US we had no booking!?. We were shoved between 3 VILLAS in 10 nights. We were given no warning for moving us.they would tell us one day "you stay here" then the NEXT DAY tell us "oh no you must move now we have other people arriving today" !? What kind of "holiday" is that?! We were traveling with a baby and a young child and all in all it ruined our holiday. I'm so disappointed by emerald villas and how they treated us as a family travelling from Australia and my elderly mother travelling from the UK. Pitiful experience and a disgrace that this is allowed on a SUPPOSEDLY reputable website. Don't book with them. You may pay your THOUSANDS of $$$, arrive and be told- "Sorry we don't have your booking"....Then be moved 3 times in 5 days ?! Incredibly stressful and distressing to myself and my mother. The villas are lovely if you're actually allocated one (or two as we had booked!) but you simply cannot trust the booking system here. Expedia should remove them from their selection if they do not wish to be affiliated with such a poor holiday provider.

The dream experience.
After many trips to Bali.. we found home. An amazing self contained villa with private pool and quite simply, everything you could wish for including very well priced and high quality room service. The staff could not have done more.. very nice and the villa was cleaned everyday. Having read some minor negative comments prior and actually going there.. Its fair to say if you habe problems with this place either dont go to Bali or seek professional mental help.. it's a five star from us. Thanks guys we will be back.

Great Hotel For Our Beach Holiday
The hotel was very well situated off the main street and very close to the beach. On arrival the hotel staff were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The villa exceeded our expectations and internet research as it was quiet and very private with good security. We wanted a quiet relaxing break and this hotel provided the right balance for us. The pool was regularly cleaned and the villa maid gave us privacy when we wanted it and kept the villa very clean. Every day was wonderful and we quickly felt at home and didn't want to leave. The open air feel of the villa with the private pool was luxurious and the comfort of air conditioning in the bedroom was very welcome. The facilities in Sanur were very good with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and spas. The holiday we wanted was to relax on the beach and this was an excellent location to do this. In the evenings we ate out every night and enjoyed Balinese and Indonesian cuisine of the highest calibre. The people are friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay immensely.
