Stargazer
This property was located about 45 minutes from The Great Sand Dunes NP visitor center. The home was very private, clean and well provisioned. Our favorite spot was the deck off of the loft which had a wonderful view of the mountains as well as the sunrise. The wrap around deck also had a great view where you could watch the sun set. There were many extras that added to the uniqueness of the rental. We would highly recommend it.

Lovely cabin
The views of the valley and the mountains were superb. My 10 year old son appreciated the foosball table. Bedrooms and quality of mattresses was great. A perfect basecamps for exploring the Sand Dunes and Crestone.

The Stargazer was and is as good as advertised: it was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and full of amenities. But the most important piece to us is that it was peaceful - a welcome respite from the running around and hoteling we had done on the first part of our Colorado trip. We had space to spread out, do our own cooking, and travel around to all of the great hiking destinations in the area. And let’s not forget that it is called the Stargazer for a reason: my family and I marveled for three nights at the clear, dark sky offering unparalleled views of multiple constellations and the Milky Way. It is a memory that we will share forever! Thank you, Namita - you are an excellent and communicative host!

Awesome Location
Cabin was perfect. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and the loft with bonus space. Lots of games to play while waiting for the stars. Loved the views and location was close to many destinations. The Great Sand Dunes is a must, in the day and after dark.

Nice clean property
Really enjoyed our stay here! The views were gorgeous and lots of room for my husband and I and 5 adult children. Very clean and plenty of blankets, towels etc. Good distance for travel to the Great Sand Dunes and other local attractions like Zapata Falls, Marshall Pass and other hiking trails. Joyful Journey mineral springs spa was relaxing and beautiful with its day pass for soaking. Only drawback was Crestone itself had few amenities. The local grocery store had limited items so just plan ahead to get groceries before arrival.

The home is beautiful, with views of the mountains. There was plenty of space for my 3 kids and I to be together or spread out for alone-time when needed. It’s well-equipped from the kitchen to the outdoor spaces. The beds were comfortable and I think I actually slept through the night. I’m not usually able to do so when I travel. We will definitely stay again if we travel back to Crestone.

Home away from home under the stars
This home is aptly named Stargazer—the night sky is beautifully clear for viewing the stars. It’s nicely furnished and comfortable with plenty of spaces for togetherness or solitude. Nice porch with comfy furniture and a gas fire pit, as well as a balcony off the loft. The host was very accessible when we had questions. A great stay!

owner and manager very responsive and communicative. nice property, comfortable, plenty of space, nice indoor/outdoor space. nice that coffee provided. 3 teen boys loved the loft. would be nice if there was a TV on main floor. not enough large pots/pans. small kitchen with very little counter space.

Perfect Family Getaway
We were looking for a quick getaway as family to explore the San Luis valley and do some stargazing. The house was perfect for its proximity to many of the area’s attractions and for the quiet dark neighborhood. The house had amenities that everyone in the family enjoyed. We would recommend this home for anyone trying find a respite from daily life.

Book club break in Crestone
This is a beautiful location and the name of the house lives up to the reputation. We doused the house lights and spent hours “stargazing” on the beautiful deck. The inside of the house is spacious and welcoming and the hosts responded quickly to our questions. Thank you and we will be back

This home has everything you need and is in a beautiful and serene location. Every amenity you could ask for is here and the decor, linens, patio furniture are all beautiful and high quality. There was plenty of hot water, every kitchen appliance you needed was provided and the laundry room was an added bonus. We woud love to come back and stay again! Wow! Great space for looking at the stars! So easy to communicate with the owner, and very prompt! Comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this property; this is a great place to get away and see the stars.

This is a lovely home with an open floor plan with the kitchen, dining room, and living room. In addition to the three bedrooms on the main floor, there is a loft with a trundle bed. There is also a deck off the loft that has two papasan chairs to view the dark sky stars. In addition, a Bushnell telescope is available for those who want to explore this sky more deeply. We did not have a great experience with the property manager; however, the owner was also aware of an issue we discovered and addressed it right away. All in all, I highly recommend this property.

Relaxing vacation
Crestone is a beautiful area and we spent four nights in the Stargazer cabin relaxing, going on nearby hikes, making great meals, and of course we had a couple of amazing star nights hanging out on the upper deck. The cabin is very nice, comfortable, and private. We loved staying there and enjoyed the quiet and beauty of the area.
