“Cozy & Clean w/exceptional b'fast buffet”

I stayed here when I first moved to Columbus, MS, in 2002 for 2 months. The staff treated me like family then and continued the excellent customer service when I returned for a 2-night stay to visit friends after having moved 3 years ago. During that 3 years, they renovated the rooms and fixed the hot tub. The kids were constantly bugging us to let them swim in the indoor pool. The bedding was soft and billowy without being feminine...just the right touch of cleanliness and luxury. The b'fast buffet included HOT scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, and Belgian waffles in addition to the usual continental breakfast items (cereal, toast, muffins, yoghurt cups, etc.). My family and I will definitely stay here again in the future!

Our stay at the Wingate was due to a family funeral. Several family members stayed there and we were all satisfied. The room was clean, comfortable and had free Internet, a fridge, microwave, coffee and tea. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, well attended to by Linda, who kept it well stocked and clean. The breakfast selection was excellent from fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits, some of the best muffins I've ever had along with cereal, yogurt and fruit. There was a selection of juices and although Starbucks is usually the only coffee I will drink, Linda's coffee was excellent and I drank several cups each morning. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. When traveling, we usually stay at Hilton Garden Inns and the Wingate was satisfyingly comparable.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was great, as was all the other amenities. The staff was helpful and courteous.

“PERFECT PLACE TO STAY”

Hotel was great, I will stay here anytime I am in town. The staff, service, and cleanliness of the hotel was great. The hot breakfast was perfect. If I had to write one thing that could change, it would be the smell in the elevators. I don't know what it was or where it came from but the smell was bad the whole stay. But please don't let that keep you from staying here. It was very quite and very convienent....
