“Great value lousy TV”

Great for the price but what's with the old TVs.

“It was a great place to stay!!”

I traveled to Columbus, OH to visit some friends, and was unable to stay at any of their places. I decided to stay at Extended Stay because it seemed the best price and it was convenient with a kitchen. Unfortunately, I did not really get to use the kitchen, but it was definitely an excellent feature. All of the kitchen appliances were there, as well as pans and plates. My room was very clean place to stay, as well as the hotel was clean.

“A pleasant surprise”

I was in the area for a seminar nearby the week of the Memorial Golf Tournament. Prices were sky high for any other room in the area. This one was quite reasonable so I decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. A clean, quiet room in a condo neighborhood near shopping and restaurants complete with refrigerator, microwave, a counter where I could spread out my seminar materials and cable TV. There were even enough outlets to plug in all of my chargers and still have an alarm clock!. This isn't a 5 star hotel, but for the business or seminar traveler it was great. The one drawback -- no elevator.

“Hard to find”

The motel room was nice and the people were very accomodating. I had a little kitchenette that was stocked with dishes. It was a very nice room. The motel was off the beaten path, though. I had finally gone to Hobby Lobby and asked if someone could give me directions. A lovely lady told me to follow her after she checked out of the Hobby Lobby. I wouldn't have found it on my own. Also, I had asked for a first floor room. Sometimes steps are a difficulty for me. I suppose I was on the first floor, but all the rooms were up at least one flight of steps from the front desk. I made it on my own, but I would have preferred no steps or at least access to an elevator from the office area.

The room was very clean, bathroom very clean. Nice kitchen are that wasn't expected. This trip was only supposed to be my husband and I but our 5 year old came also. Only one bed in the room but the staff found us extra blankets and pillow in case one of us had to sleep in the recliner! We didn't but we were prepared. The hotel was surprisingly quiet. It appeared to be quite full but we really didn't hear any noise. The carpet in the lobby and halls was very stained but that was the only thing that appeared dirty in the hotel.

Halls and lobby had a strong smoke smell. Location was on a quite road off a major artery and near many restaurants and shopping.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I had never stayed in an Extended Stay before. I found it on Expedia, and read a little about it. I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with what I got. It has no amenities in the hotel, and is not like your standard hotel chain in most ways. It caters to business travelers who will be there for extended stays...thus the name! It has a fridge, microwave, stove, etc. It wasn't the nicest place I have ever stayed, but it did the trick for what I needed. I would stay at one again, if I was traveling by myself.

The cooking items were lacking. We had to go out and buy certain items so that we could cook. Also the dishes were dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. Also something that we had to buy. There was no shampoo, and no one checks on the room unless you're staying more than 7 days. If we hadn't had brought our own coffee we would have had to call the front desk each day, or time we wanted coffee as only one pack was left for a 2 day stay.

“Extended Stay on Sawmill... Not impresed”

The first hotel room smelled horribly and looked like there had been water damage, the second one was better so we stayed. The housekeeper was awesome, she helped us out often, she even helped us out when they double charged us.Location was good, but the pool was not filled. So it was hot and the pool was not available for use. And the hotel keys kept not working. Definitely will never stay there again.
