Treatments incorporate Asia’s ancient wellness wisdom, indigenous secrets and natural elixirs. For instance plai, known as “poo loey” in northern Thailand, is a ginger species revered to cool inflammation, ease digestion, combat joint and muscle aches, treat respiratory conditions, calm, cleanse and nourish skin. In the signature Lanna Experience journey, this healing ingredient is infused in a three stage scrub, wrap and massage. While age-old techniques include a Traditional Thai Massage, renowned as ‘passive yoga’ since it offers the ultimate body workout with a wealth of stretching, flexibility and vitality benefits.

“Anantara- an exquisite, relaxing experience!”
The Anantara is not to be missed if you can get there. We had a fantastic time enjoying the property and all it has to offer. The hotel is decorated exotically so you feel you should be exactly where you are with images or sculptures of elephants surrounding you. The food is great, the staff very kind and courteous. The caprahina (although not traditional Thai) is the best I have ever had! What a great way to start the evening after a day of mahout training...by the pool overlooking LAOS while having a fabulous cocktail. We will be back!
