"I asked to have regular coffee pods for my room as there was only decaf pods in my room. I was told by the front desk that the hotel had no caffeinated coffee for the hotel rooms, only decaf. I was invited to come to the hotel dining area in the morning for caffeinated coffee. Also, when I ordered an adult beverage, with lime, I was informed the hotel had no limes available. There was a photocopy of a small menu available yet the "cook was off," so it was suggested I order food to be delivered. I was traveling on business and needed an internet connection to complete my work. The internet connection in my room worked for the first night of my stay. The front desk staff apologized yet stated they were not aware of an internet issue. The room itself was acceptable. As a recognized name in the hotel industry, I expected the important details, as promoted on the hotel website, to be available."

"Travelers Beware!!! I booked a room with two double beds through my Expedia app. The property gave me a room with one (single) bed and a couch that was so filthy and full of brown stains my dog would not sleep on it. The pictures of the rooms on the internet are not actually what the rooms look like. I told the man at the front I booked a room with double beds. He claimed that was the last room available. I told him since they did not deliver on the correct room I booked there would be no other choice but to cancel my reservation and I wanted a refund. The Expedia associate also got the managers email and told mainstays to refund my money. So the next day when the manager got back instead of refunding me, she debited more money from my account!! Yet mainstays still does not believe they are in the wrong even telling Expedia they offered me another room, which is a lie. Not only is this property (employees) dishonest, it is very nasty! There were roaches crawling all over the ground and walls of the entrance. Do not waste your time and money on this property!!!"
The Longleaf Hotel

"We recently stayed at the Longleaf Hotel and overall had a great experience. The property is very well maintained and beautifully updated while still paying homage to the hotel's original 1950s character and charm. The rooms and common areas felt thoughtfully designed, clean, and inviting. My only real complaint was the check-in experience. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed when we arrived and came across as somewhat snippy and unpleasant. We arrived about 20 minutes before the official check-in time, and although our rooms were already ready, we were told there would be a $25 fee to check in early. Rather than pay the fee, we went out for coffee and returned at 3:00 PM. Guests should also be aware that there is a $25 per night parking fee, despite parking being in the hotel's own lot. Aside from those issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique blend of modern comfort and vintage charm that makes the Longleaf stand out."
