"I was expecting something special when I booked this stay. It was OK… Certainly not special. The room was OK, not as nice as the price point would suggest as the suite’s furniture was shabby and worn. I have had better bedding at roadside motels at less than 1/5 the cost than the bedding here. It felt like sleeping on a piece of plastic and smelled like cheap deodorant. The spa was great, food was good, and staff was great. Early morning walks allowed for some great birding! Our “villa” had a washer and dryer! Our villa also felt like we were trapped in a cave, complete with the smell of mild mold. Additionally, I expected to see original art, not stuff hanging off walls that looked like it was purchased at a discount used furniture store. The carpet, especially the outdoor carpet, needs replaced. There are much better values out there, not sure I want to return."

"We loved this hotel. It was very convenient to Legoland and the beach. Nice breakfast was served. The pool and hot tub was nice. A very special thanks to the night maintenance guy that got the bubbles working on the hot tub while we were there."

"I liked the location, my room, and the pool area. However, my room key that was supposed to work to give me access to and egress from the gated parking never worked and I had to press the help button every single time. They opened the gate fairly quickly, but when you pay $29 for each day for parking, I should not have had to deal with this malfunction, wondering if I would get stuck. I also encountered a delay in checking out when the only person present at the counter was entangled in a lengthy endeavor with another party, but completely ignored me and failed to inform me that it would be ok to just drop the keys in the key box until much later."

"While our room was clean and housekeeping was accommodating, the overall experience fell well below expectations. Upon arrival, there was no valet or luggage assistance available. When we asked about help with our bags, we were simply told to “find”luggage carts and transport them ourselves. The interaction felt dismissive and set the tone for our stay. We arrived before the 4:00 PM check-in time and were told to wait in the lobby for a text notification when our room was ready. We never received the promised text. At 4:00 PM, our room was still unavailable, and staff could not provide an update. Although the front desk agent was courteous and provided drink tickets, we did not receive our room until approximately 4:20–4:30 PM. When our room became available, we were only given room keys and a parking pass. No information was provided about amenities, parking fees, resort fees, or other important details. The lack of communication continued at checkout, where no mention was made of any additional charges or fees."
