“Welcome home...”
Numerous stays at Posada del Mar over the years . Hotel staff is efficient, friendly and remains the same - they remember us! Love Maria's towel art! Location couldn't be better. A real "gem"!
“LOVED IT!! Goin back with the family!”
Wow! Isla Mujeres was a hoot. The hotel location was Goldilocks perfect (not too close, not too far) from everything! The ac was loud upon start-up, but was much better after about 15 min. Maids, front desk staff all very accommodating but don't be rushed or crabby and they will give you the world and good tips help too! And then there is Romy's.....EXCELLENT bar on the property, spent a few evenings there. Beautiful sunsets. Single female 50 traveling alone felt perfectly safe everywhere, all the time. I would recommend this hotel for families as well because it's right across from a less crowded more family oriented beach than north beach. I'm already planning next year with my family (51-1yrs) at Posada Del Mar. Oh go to contoy to snorkel with Capt Tony, he's the best! Oh Oh and one more thing, get a Map Chick map of the island online (mapchick.com?)..VERY helpful!
“Clean and Comfortable”
Very nice compared to other hotels on the island. It's not 5-star quality, but clean, comfortable, and it's in a great location... close to restaurants and shopping. We found the staff to be extremely polite and helpful. Definitely going back here again!
“Good Hotel with great service!”
We have stayed at Posada del Mar three times now, and each time we have enjoyed our stay. The new pool is nice, and as always Romy makes the best margaritas. Everyone is very friendly, and the price can't be beat. The location is great-right across from the beach. It's not a 4 star fancy hotel, but we love coming back here!
“We'll be back!”
We have stayed at the Posada several times. We like the location-walking distance to shopping, restaurants and beach across the street. Beach chairs are free to guests (umbrella fee minimal). The rooms have always been very clean. The staff is accommidating.
“Pasada del Mar is everything you could want!”
Pasada del Mar is a nice hotel. It has everything you would need including clean beds, very clean rooms, air conditioning, celiing fan, clean bathrooms with hot water, balconys in every room, mini fridge, free drinking water, very clean pool and grounds. It has it's own resturant which has decent food and the palapa bar is open during they day. The hotel also has chairs on the beach and beach towels for free use and food and drink service out to the beach as well! I would strongly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Not the all inclusive type, but everything anyone would want and need.
“isla mujuries”
The bathroom tended to become very wet.. seemed we were forever walking on wet, sandy tile floors.. :( Their was also a lack of towels for both bathing and for the beach,... But, great location, large property nice pool. would defintely return and reccommend for all especially those travelling with kids
“Paradise Island!!”
Posada Del Mar is a nice place to stay in isla for a very good price. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means but you definitaly get what what you pay for and them some. The staff are friendly and as helpful as they can be but you have to ask for cetrtain things or you won't get them. The pool is new, the new building where we stayed was nice and everything worked after we contacted the front desk about the AC and the refrigerator. The location is great with easy access to the beach and the main area for dining and shopping. The maids could do a little better job cleaning the bathrooms and the overall grounds of the resort could be kept up a little better but other than that I don't have anything negative to say. Wifi is not available in the rooms, only at the front desk, bar and restaurant. Almost all the restaurants on Isla have internet while you dine.

“Just Ok”
Staff was not particularly helpful. Their is a significant pigeon (and their excrement) problem on all of the balconies. Not really worth the price.
