“Very good hotel in the given price segment.”

The hotel is centrally located close to CBD & Railway Station ( both are10 mins walk) & the staff is very professional & mature. They have clearly spelled out what is included in the service & they abide by it. The rooms are good & overall the property is well maintained. Suitable for families & people who want to enjoy a peacefull stay.

“Queens Court, Cairns”

We had a lovely time. The whole motel and surrounds was very clean and well kept. The staff were polite and helpful and made our 3 day stay a time to remember.Terrific Italian restaurant within walking distance and the beach very close.

“Central location, clean and comfortable.”

Hotel room with ensuite was on the small side but amenities were clean and comfortable and Breakfast included. Buffet style had a selection of cold nutritious food for a continental breakfast in the morning with hot drinks. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. For an economical stay this hotel is fine and is situated on the northern main road that takes you to further tourist destinations outside the city and the drive to the airport.

Area recommendations

Green island day trip, northern beaches especially Palm cove and Holloway's beach. Skyrail to Kuranda over the rainforest. All beautiful areas to visit.

“A great starting point.”

Rates were more than just reasonable, and close enough to walk to whaves, etc., and most excursions provide hotel pick-up. Using shower results in bathroom floor being very wet [no barrier around shower stall], but a small inconvenience compared with other advantages. Would certainly stay there again, and recmmend to others.

Area recommendations

Sky/Rail and train to and from Kuranda. Kuranda birds and butterflies. Trinity Inlet cruises.

Getting around

TIP: Take the taxi from the airport to your Cairns hotel. It,s cheaper (for two or more people), faster, and more convenient.

“Sandesh”

Very happy with our stay. We checked in late at night although there is no 24/7 reception, it was easy to get our room keys and get to our room. Unfortunately the AC wasn't working but next day we were provided with an alternate (upgraded) room for the rest of our stay. The people are very friendly and willing to help. Don't expect to find young chicks in the reception, the hotel is probably run by a group of senior ladies who are young at heart and caring. This place is 5 min from the esplanade and 12 minutes walk from the heart of the city. 20 minutes walk from the Pier to go to the GBR. Airport is 10 minutes drive. Taxi costs $17 from airport or you can take a shuttle which charges $9 per person. There is an ANZ & Westpac ATM 5 minutes away from the hotel. There is also a Woolworths store closeby. Book all your tours in the city. Lots of shops giving good offers on various activities that you can do in Cairns. I chose to to Bungy, Sky Dive & Snorkling at the Great Bareer Reef. “NERY POOR WFI INTERNET IF YOU GET IT AT ALL”

MOST DAY WFI INTERNET NOT WORKING IF IT IS WORK IS VERY SLOW. THEY JUST BLOW YOU OFF IF COMPLAIN ABOUT ANY THING.

“Good for price, but not worth the poor customer service”

The description did a very poor job explaining the details of this hotel. The FREE 'aiport shuttle', we learned on arrival, was only available from 9am-5pm. We landed at 4:20pm which I emailed the hotel. After waiting, we called the hotel from a pay phone at 5:05pm, they said, 'sorry you'll have to take a taxi the driver has gone home, it's after 5pm'. This was despite the fact I emailed them our arrival, and upon booking, there was no explanation of the 5pm 'rule'. Also, when we tried to finally use the free service when we left for the airport at the end of our stay, they said 'sorry, it's only free from the airport to the hotel, not the other way around'. Also, we booked this hotel (along with the 'free' shuttle) for the free breakfast. It was terrible. We only ate 1 piece of bread 1 morning. It was cold, old cereal, hard boiled eggs and slices of bread.

“Excellent value via Expedia”

Hotel was clean and bright and the Premier room was well fitted and spacious, only blemish was a leaking ceiling above the shower, which was soon fixed, although not at a convienent time. Our main purpose was to go shopping and the hotel was well positioned for this purpose and within walking distance of Cairns Central. Light breakfast was included and was served around swimming pool and this was very pleasant.
