“Great Hotel”
We were a party of 18-in La Linea to scatter family ashes. On arrival the check in was quick & efficent, the lady was lovely & very helpful. They provide a free mini bar & complimentary coffee & pastries throughout the day, which were very welcome due to the dreadful weather outside. The staff were helpful in recommending restaurants & ordering taxis etc. A lovely position within walking distance of Gibraltar. Would highly recommend.
“Would go back again”
We enjoyed our stay at Ac La linea in the most part, the hotel has been recently refurbished, and is very neat and clean, with modern fixtures and fitting, and a funky sink unit in the bathroom. The mini bar was free which was an added bonus. although there were no coffee tea making facilities in the room ,which surprised me. The staff are all very polite and helpful, On the negative side,The only english tv channel was CNN, which got rahter boring after a couple of days. I was rather unimpressed with the food served in the restaurant, it was very expensive for what we got. The swimming pool had no water in it.. which may have been due to te refurbishment, i'm not sure as no reason was given.
“Excellent hotel - dodgy location”
I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of this hotel. it was clean, newly refurbished and all the staff were polite and spoke good english. The room had a free minibar restocked daily and a main one downstairs where you could help yourself (although to a limited selection) the room had air conditioning and a great sea view towards the rock. The only thing that lets this hotel down is its rather small (but clean) pool. Also La Linea itself is rather poor and dirty but this was not the fault of the hotel. a couple of miles down the beach to the border was good for getting to gibraltar but get a taxi if its late at night as there are some unfriendly locals on occaision. Overall i would thoroughly recommend Ac Hotel La Linea to anyone and would stay with this chain again
“very impressed”
We stayed at this hotel as a base for a trip to gibraltar to make some plans for our wedding. We stayed for four nights but did not go for the bed and breakfast option because we were busy with appointments etc. The hotel is easy to find, being just one street behind the main promenade, and is about one to one and a hlaf hour drive from malaga airport, if you fly into gib then it is only 20 minutes to half an hour walk or 4 euros in a taxi from la linea border. It is in a residential area so expect not to find restaurants too close, we always ate in gibrlatar anyway cos we were through there a lot. Check in was effecient with no problems. there is parking spaces outside the hotel, although sometimes we pushed to get a space! The rooms were clean, bathrooms very modern and spacious. Plenty of towels (room cleaned daily and towels changed daily). We had a room overlooking the pool, they do get very warm but our air conditioning cooled us down! No safety deposit boxes in rooms although i think you could get them from reception. mini bars in rooms stocked with juices and lagers which is a nice touch. pool was warm on an afternoon, which is when it gets the sun. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself very quiet. All in all really good value for money and would definetely stay again.
“A good hotel”
We were very impressed with this hotel - everyone was very helpful. We paid a small extra amount for a superior room. It was well worth it for the space, sea view and balcony. The free soft drinks in the minibar were much appreciated. Breakfast was fine and the amount charged was reasonable. The swimming pool was very nice. Although overlooked by the adjoining properties, this was not a problem for us.
“Convenient location for Gibraltar”
Hotel is close to the border with Gibraltar. Was very convenient for our visit to Gibraltar.
“Best hotel in La Linea - Great for a break to Gibraltar”
I went to Gibraltar on holidays and wanted to stay somewhere nice nearby but not too expensive. The AC Hotel exceeded that requirement. Its a new hotel with good fixtures and in a quiet neigbourhood that's maybe 10min walk to the city centre and 15min to the frontier. The staff are friendly and relaxed and helpful. Next time I go to Gibraltar I will only stay at the AC Hotel La Linea.
“Great Hotel...not too far from everything”
My husband and I really were impressed with the AC hotel. It was modern, easy to find and everyone was really great to work with. We went out to enjoy the nightlife and found it was fairly close to everything. We also enjoyed the free minibar. I would recommend this to everyone.
“Free mini bar, great staff, and comfortable clean rooms”
I found this hotel was a good way to visit Gibratar while at the same time saving yourself a couple of bucks. The walk to the border is a little long (especially with a pregnant wife) but the staff is excellant and the room's minibar is free which is quite nice. The pool is small but you are only a block away from the beach. The air conditioning didn't work very well in the room but that seems to be the norm versus the exception in Spain as many 4 and five star hotels we stayed in had the same problems. Very clean and the design and layout of the rooms is very elegant yet simple. For the price you can't really beat it and it isn't that far from the sites.
“Good value”
This hotel is a 5 euro taxi ride from the Gibraltar border and/or La Linea bus station. We stayed twice (coming and going) from Gibraltar and on each occasion got a smart room facing the Bay of Gibraltar. The standard is is high and the room would easily cost you 2 or 3 times as much elsewhere. There's a free (non-alcoholic) mini bar and friendly staff. We found breakfast at 8 euros extra pretty good vaule. There aren't many facilities in the surrounding neighbourhood but I'd expect most people would use this as a transit. On the whole, very good value
