“High Quality Hotel in Budapest”

The Andrassy Hotel is at the Hero's Square end of Andrassy Ut. This area is embassy row in Budapest, so it isn't in the middle of the main attractions in central Pest or the sights on the Buda side. However, there is a metro stop one block from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All spoke excellent English. I was given an upgraded room when I arrived. The room was large by typical European standards, but about average for a business class hotel in the US. The bathroom was very large - even larger than what you typically find in the US. Free wireless - but the signal was weak in my room.

“Wonderful in Budapest”

We arrived in the middle of a heat wave and were made more comfortable than I could imaging possible. The staff went beyond helpful. I can not say enough good things about the hotel.

“Can't praise it enough”

I chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews raving about the service, and I was not disappointed! In addition to all the comforts and amenities you'd expect in a 5-star hotel, every single staff member I encountered was incredibly polite and ready to go out of their way to make my trip to Budapest extra special. Service of this caliber can usually only be found in hotels charging 4 times the price... if you value service and are willing to stay a 7m metro ride from downtown, then this is the hotel for you.

“One of the best Hotels we have ever stayed in.”

The Staff were a joy. The cost for the standard of Hotel was more than reasonable. It is a pity they did not have their own restaurant. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was a bit up market and expensive for every day dining and you are really forced to go out.We like to have our dinner at the hotel and avoid going out.

“Excellent hotel”

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend break at the Andrassy Hotel. The hotel was smart but comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Budapest and would recommend it as a pre-Christmas destination.

“It's better than the big name hotels”

High quality, mid-size hotel on the most beautiful avenue in Budapest. Walking distance from art galleries, exhibition centers.

“This one is a winner”

We were recommended the hotel by a travel agent who had stayed there. The location was great and the staff very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. They have a Taxi driver who works thru' the hotel and he was wonderful to work with. The only thing I would change would be to have Tea and Coffee available at any time.

“Lovely quiet top quality hotel”

This hotel was perfect. It was in a very quiet area being off the main drag, but the metro made all the main parts of Budapest very accessible. One day we into the Pest district 3 times with very little effort. The hotel was surrounded by lots of grand houses which added to the ambience. I would describe the hotel as offering a very personal but discreet service. The staff were very attentive and the food in the restaurant excellent if a bit pricey. We used the bar quiet a bit and enjoyed the seating area and menu of drinks offered. All round, if you are looking for a bit of luxury that isn't over the top, this is the place for you

“The Andrassy - a superb hotel”

The visit was set off at the outset by the champagne welcome from the reception staff. The Hotel is well located on Metro line, in a quiet secluded residential and diplomatic area. Public transport was easy and efficient around the City. We felt comfortable and safe in this area. This hotel would be a must for a return visit to Budapest.

“Great Hotel”

We had a great stay at the Andrassy Hotel and would recommend it to new visitors to Budapest. The staff made us very welcome and were extremely helpful.I agree with earlier comments, though, that tea and coffee should have been available in bedrooms. The buffet breakfast was good but should have been included in the room rate as it became a pricey extra.
