“Very good hotel near the Opera”
Right next to the beautiful Opera House, in fact, the hotel is close to many good restaurants too. I've stayed there a number of times over the past 3 years and have always been pleased with the stay. There is a garage for guests which is good, and the staff is very helpful. The wireless internet in the rooms is free of charge and there are business facilities if you need meeting space.
“Great Place to Stay - Really”
This place was great and centrally located, on the block behind the opera house, one block from the main boulevard. We were very close to Franz Liszt square where tourist dine outside--fabulous. We were around the corner from several extraordinary restaurants. Do not judge a book by the cover. At first this seemed unassuming on an "off" street. This place was clean, cute, curteous and extremely nice. Services included free wifi, a block from the "hop on and hop off bus" and their breakfast buffet was terrific. Watch for the free champagne, it was hiding, but we found it. The staff were charming. Helpful, tried to be good tour guides and really couldn't do enough for you. They seem a bit reserved at first, but they were great and seemed genuinely happy to please you.
“good hotel right in the centre of pest”
K+K is well located in the centre of pest, the underground is just round the corner. room is smaller than it looked and sounded online but comfortable clean and did the job nicely. Hotel staff very helpfull. I would reccommend the airport shuttle bus ASM service as good value for money and easy to use (discount if using Malev airways) flight back also included BA passengers who payed more for same flight so use malev. use the one day public transport ticket or 10 trip single ticket (single trip can be purchased in hotel). would reccommend this hotel and location good,
“Budapest's Best!”
One of the most beautiful cities in the world, and staying in the K + K Opera hotel only added to the truly magnificent city of Budapest, On arrival at the hotel the quality became apparent, porters and the customer service provided is unbelievable top quality, nothing short of excellence, The hotel room was smaller than pictured on expedia, however it didnt disappoint still spacious enough even for a small area, The beds were very comfortable, sheeting, blanket and comforter were warm and provided a well deserved nights sleep
“Great Breakfast, even better service. Will go back!”
Great location, breakfast, and service. Room was a bit on the small size, but very clean and comfortable. Public transportation almost out the door. But, hotel locations was such, that many of the sights were within easy walking distance. Take the City Tour! The hotel can arrange tour, and the tour company will pick you up at the hotel too. We were very pleased with K&K Opera...and when we go Prague, we plan to stay at the K&K hotel there too.
“Great value for money- exceptional service from hotel staff, good location”
Hotel staff are exceptionally service minded, courteous and always in a good mood. Our stay was very enjoyable. Breakfast diversity was excellent- classic large hotel European style. I have had worse breakfasts at hotels rated much higher. Hotels is spacious, simple and clean with a great location. Rooms were modern and well maintained. Location is excellent for tourist sites and shopping. A great value for the money. Definitely recommend staying at the K&K Hotel Opera.
“Perfect Hotel for a stay in Budapest”
Myself and my husband have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is right next door to the opera house, and has shops, bars, restaurants all within easy walking distance. We walked into the city centre (about 15 mins), we didn't have to use subway/metro or trams, everywhere is easy to walk to. The hotel was a brilliant choice for location. Very modern rooms, although a little on the warm side (we like the airconditioning to be a little cooler), other trip reviews had mentioned this as well. But the breakfast was lovely, the gym and sauna look brand new and everything was very clean. Bathrooms were lovely, walk in shower, toiletries/towels nice, and a decent hairdryer. Flat screen TV is good, limited channels, but some sky news/films. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free internet in the lobby was useful to search on Budapest info. We fell very lucky as the Christmas market started on 20th November 2009. It is well worth a visit. The only taxi's we used were the ones from and back to the airport which costs around 20 euros each trip. (Zona Taxis). You can walk over Chain Bridge to the 'Buda' side of the Danube (glad we didn't stay that side - a lot less to do). The castle was interesting, we took the fenicular to the top. The shops are very expensive though (not a shoppers paradise), eating/drinking out is reasonable, and plenty of variety.Pricier than we expected. All in all though a brilliant hotel in an interesting city.
“Great hotel in perfect location”
Set just behind the Opera, the hotel is 2 minutes walk from a metro stop and it is a short walk to all the major sites in downtown Budapest. You can't beat the location. The hotel itself is moderately priced but rooms are comfortable with free internet and all the amentities. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Hotel Opera”
The hotel is ideal for exploring Budapest. All sights on the city tour are within walking distace, although they do not appear so by looking at the map. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There are numerous resturaunts within walking distance which are very reasonable in price. Prices in the hotel for food and drink are expensive but this is no different from elsewhere. A buffet breakfast is served up to 11am in the morning which is ideal for setting you up for a days sightseeing. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone.
“Ideally positioned, excellent hotel”
This Hotel was located close to the Opera metro link and provided easy access to all key areas of the city. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room couldn't be faulted and the breakfast buffet was well organised. The hotel was also in walking distance of several very nice restaurants. If returning to Budapest, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
