“A tourist class hotel for the average visitors to Budapest”
Conveneant location though this hotel is not situated in the heart of the toursit area. Frequent street cars (trams) run just outside the hotel leading to both sides of the Danube River within 10 - 20 minutes. This hotel is good for the average tourist class travellers. Staff in general are nice and helpful. The only set backs are 1. housekeeping,Room makeups are usuallly done in a rush and not very clean; also towels are very old and wornout and need to be preplaced. and 2, there seems to have a sewage problem, the smell some times could be very strong. City problem or hote, proble I dont know.
“No I will not be going back”
I found it hard to believe in this day and age that a hotel of this calible had no safe in the room. The tv was old fashioned and didn't even have hdmi output and the remote only partly worked. The sheet on the bed barely fit, so that any movement on the bed meant it needed to be remade and the quilt also barely skimmed the sides of the bed. The bathroom had no space for toiletries, except for toothbrush and toothpaste and not even a hook to hang anything. Having said all that, the place was kept very clean. I am disabled and travelled with my mobility scooter and I found the doors to be plenty wide enough to accommodate my needs, but I do not think I would go back as the food was not good. The inclusive breakfast I found to be limited and second rate, so I ended up eating just toast every morning for the entire week. It was the same every day, so if you didn't like it there was nothing different on offer the next day. I have travelled extensively and I have to say that this has been the worst food I have had. That definitely let the hotel down, as well as the fact that some of the reception staff seemed to find it hard to make eye contact, let alone to crack a smile. No, I wont be going back.
“Griff”
Double beds dont seem to exist Two single pushed together so you had the wooden running boards between the matresses. Room cleaned regularly no probs Breakfast - must like Spam - Overall brakfast was a letdown - cheap foods - cordial for juice the cheapest cornflakes and the coffee machine from the dark ages Overall its a cheap hotel functional clean and pleasent
