perfect view to mathias church, I loved to stay in buda side. the hotel decoration is a bit odd, not very good taste.

“Excellent Budapest hotel”

I stayed in the Burg hotel with 3 friends. We stopped in the family room which had 2 separate twin rooms with sharing bathroom. It is opposite St Mattias church so is in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and told us where to go sightseeing, pointing things out on the map. Breakfast was good. I would return to this hotel and recommend it.

In this price range is this a best hotel in area of Buda Castle. The bus stop is in the front of the hotel. Metro station is under the hill. Breakfast is middleeuropean standard. Rooms are clean. If you want a vacation or a stay in the centre of hungarian history, this is the right place.

“Stay in Budapest's perfect position”

A small friendly modest hotel that I have stayed in four times. Its proximity to the Castle and the Fishermans Bastion make it the perfect site to start sightseeing. There is a tourist information office opposite, and regular buses pass the door to take one to Pest. It gives the impression of being family run. The breakfast room is light and the breakfast is more than adequate. There are several restaurants nearby, plus a supermarket and post office.The price is perfect for a weekend break and I would not stay anywhere else

“Very romantic location in Buda”

Great price! Great location! What more could you want. We stayed at the Burg in Nov. 2010. We had the corner room overlooking the church and the view was beautiful. The decor in the rooms is a little outdated but they are clean, big, and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was good. Nothing to complain about. The selection was decent for a buffet style breakfast, nothing extravagant however.

The location of this hotel is amazing, especially for the price. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would choose this place again without any thought.

“Excellent Hotel”

This hotel is excellent value for money. It is in an ideal location for sight seeing, being right in the the centre of the Castle District. Our room had lovely views of Trinity Square and Matyas Church. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

“Totally satisfied.”

Great. Not exactly luxurious - the furniture was on the cheap side and the TV pretty small - but very much what I expected and good value. Most important of all for us - QUIET. Very quiet. Lovely breakfast too.

“Wonderful location, excellent value”

This Hotel lived up to it's Trip adviser wrtite up. If you want to stay on the Buda side, the location is unbeatable, right in the centre of the historic town with dramatic views over the Danube and other landmarks. Good value. The bus stops just outside the hotel, frequently, with a cheap fare ( around £1) to the centre of Pest and links with all other transport. The Hotel is not great luxury but we found it perfect for our wekend break.

“Great for the price!”

We had a weekend break here in December for the Christmas Markets and were very pleased. The hotel is on the Buda side in the World Heritage area, a lovely part to walk round with bars and restaurants too. It is only a 15-20 minute walk to the busier Pest side on the other side of the Danube. The hotel itself is small and quite basic, but it was clean and fairly comfortable. Breakfast is continental and there is a breakfast room on each floor which is nice. The view from our room was amazing, looking over the square past the church and over the river to see the city all lit up. We wanted somewhere reasonable to use as a base for exploring and this hotel fitted the bill. Maybe the one drawback is that there wasn't an English speaking TV channel, but that was a minor thing as we weren't in the hotel for much apart from sleeping. I would not hesitate to go back there and am already planning to return next year.
