The Castle Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Good stop over for 1 night. Made to feel very welcome but quite old and worn room"

"Room was good, clean & comfortable. Staff all very nice, stayed here many many times. Actually had my wedding reception here(44rs ago) as did my brother & sister & my cousin, just last Saturday!!!grounds are beautiful & perfectly kept."

Nant Ddu Lodge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was a short break for us, just two days. Food was really good with portions rather too large for us pensioners. Great choice at breakfast. Lunch menu wide ranging: we had home made fish finger sandwich with chips, only £10. Puts Warners to shame. Will go again. very convenient for trips out, eg Steam railway and Brecon canal trips."

Mercure Swansea Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"A dirty, poorly maintained example of a Mercury Hotel. There also appeared to be some longer term visitors staying at the hotel."

Llangoed Hall
10/10 Excellent
"The approach to the hotel is stunning—neat, tidy, and very impressive. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from reception, with staff who were both friendly and informative. Our room was delightful, featuring a beautiful four-poster bed complete with drapes. The furniture had an eclectic, well-loved charm that added character to the room while remaining spotlessly clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the well-appointed en-suite bathroom offered both a bath and a walk-in shower. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, where the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Afterwards, we relaxed with coffee in the comfortable lounge area. The grounds are simply gorgeous. Whichever window you look out of, you are greeted by stunning views of the surrounding green countryside. Throughout our stay, the staff were polite, attentive, and professional. A special mention goes to Ellen, who kindly gave us a tour and shared the fascinating history of the house after breakfast in the cosy breakfast room. Overall, we had a truly lovely stay and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended."

Holiday Inn Express Swansea - East by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Really pleasant stay-friendly welcoming staff on the desk and in the eating/bar area. Perfect for a short stay base whilst in Swansea"

Wellington
8/10 Good
"Parking is an issue at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Food at the function I attended was very good considering the numbers involved. Some training of the serving staff might help. One of them knocked my drink over, said "Sorry" and that was that. Drinks were very pricey."

Best Western Pontypool Metro Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"One of times I booked the mirror and surfaces was dirty like the cleaner was dirty. Also me and my partner got banned without a reason and when we booked following time they refused to provide service or provide explanation. Strange people"
