“Hotel overview”
The only downside was the bar food seemed expensive and a lot of fried options not so easy to dine light. Free wifi and good for business use.
“Excellent service”
With a warm welcome and immediate housekeeping service, I was highly impressed with the level of attention offered at this hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others.
“Had a great time”
Lovely hotel in central location. It's on the main high street in Bray, amongst shops, pubs and restaurants, the sea front is about five mins walk away. There is even a bus that runs from dublin airport to outside the hotel four times a day for 12 euros. (The Bray Air Express). Bray has pretty good transport links anyway, with the trains, DART and buses. I would use this hotel again.
“Great alternative to staying in Dublin”
We spent several days at the Royal Hotel before returning to the states at the end of an extended trip. Bray is a delightful community that is an easy DART train ride from Dublin. Additionally County Wicklow offers many attractions of its own. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.
“Good value for money”
Very impressed with the standard of service and facilities at the hotel. Would stay there again. Very convenient for the DART and easy to reach via airport bus.
“Will use again next time i visit”
Great base to have if you wish to visit the surrounding area. Great transport links. I usually book two hotels, one in Bray and one in Dublin, in the future i will probably just book the royal and travel into Dublin to sightsee.
“Royal Bray Hotel”
Very nice hotel, was impressed when arrived. Central to places for sightseeing and plenty of local transport.
“Royal Hotel bray”
The Executive room was large and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. The bar was also an enjoyable area to have a drink. We didn't use the dining or leisure facilities. The fact the hotel had a car park was a benefit. The Hotel is situated in the centre of the town and was fairly handy for the seafront. position. The Hotel is on the Main Street and was a little noisy during the morning rush hour but didn't spoil our stay.
“Was wonderful.”
The Royal Hotel in Bray, Ireland was wonderful. The hotel was very elegant and tastefully decorated. The women staff at the front desk were exceptional. They were so helpful and very friendly. The morning breakfast buffet was very elegant and good. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Only problem was so many steps to climb with luggage. Also, our room was a little to hot and stuffy most of the time. Had to open the window abit. I would however rate the hotel as excellent and would definitely go there again or recommend it.
“Will definately return”
We really enjoyed staying here. Location is ideal, everything is in walking distance and Bray is bigger than you would expect. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and is very clean. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with directions and even printed out a map for us to find Malahide Castle. The leisure facilities are great especially if you have children but take a swimming hat or buy one for 3 euros. The breakfast was very basic, not much choice. We ate out for dinner so no comment. Overall we loved this hotel and would return.
