"Built in the 1500’s this place has been modernized for comfort. Beautiful remote area. Wonderful staff running the place. Great views! Quaint little bar on the first floor that offers cocktails and meats and cheeses. Very comfortable large king room. There is a library where one can relax and read or play games.Breakfast was very European with eggs cooked to order. Keep in mind there are stairs and no lift to keep the history alive.This place will forever be imbedded in my heart."

"Horrible hotel which is not as advertised. Room smelled like cigarettes, no elevator no restaurants, limited parking. area around the hotel is very sketchy. Felt like a pay-by-the-hour hotel, left after 10 minutes. Felt very unsafe with my family and left and they wouldn't refund me despite it being only 10 mins between checking in and deciding not to stay there. "

The night manager came to our room and tried multiple times to fix it on the computer but it didn’t work. We are used to a cool sleeping temperature at home do the nights were a bit difficult. However, everything else about the hotel is excellent so we would stay here again. "
