This was not my first visit to Amritsar. This time I found several things that made my visit very uncomfortable. The pillows in the room smelled like old sweat. I was glad I brought my own pillow. There were only a few elevators working which resulted in a lot of waiting. There was no hot water in the shower/sinks.
One bright light was the excellent food and service at the Fireside restaurant.

The rooftop hot tub (outdoor and indoor) and pool are fantastic. Staff was helpful and friendly. The facility is very clean and well maintained. Our stay was fun, and we plan to visit again soon!
Pool water was yellow, hot spa pool was not to hot and full of foam, understaffed, underwhelming, dated property that shouts out parent company don’t care. Lotta bummy types hanging around outside patios, especially in the morning, I don’t think I’ll be back.

The valet and bell services were great. It was nice to have the help with our luggage. All the staff we dealt with were very nice & willing to help. We dined at the Fireside Grill inside the hotel & the food was wonderful. I definitely would stay here again.

Only 2 (sometimes 3) elevators worked out of 6, waited almost 5 minutes every single time because there was so much people traffic on the weekend. Other than that everything else was fine. Very nice room with vaulted ceilings, fridge and comfortable beds

This hotel was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. We have never been to Blackhawk before and we were amazed about this little gem in the mountains. The buffet really was not good. Being our first time to the hotel we were told that it would be comped but it was not. Definitely not worth the $115 for 2 it costed. Kind of disappointing.
The tables and slots treated us well. The dealers were really cool and friendly.
Everything was amazing I would of given the staff a 5 Star but the housekeeper who came to door to check on if we left was rude and seemed in a hurry to get us out

We loved our room. Spacious, the bathroom is bigger n better than any i have stayed in, n i stay at the Marriott n Hilton hotels a lot. Bed is comfortable too.
I love the pool n hot tubs just wish my daughter would of been able to enjoy longer the 9pm for under 21

First off the room was very nice but that is where the good ends and the bad starts. Most irritating was the Timberline grill. The staff are rude, we were sat next to the buffet, cramped area. They want you to pay $80 for a steak ala cart. No way. Also the hotels policies are not conducive to actively gamble at the facility. No wait staff, limits on cocktails. Overall we will not return with a stay away recommendation
The front check in staff very rude. Especially Judy. She was snobby didn’t listen used no manners and acted like I was a bother when she checked me in. Then gave me the worse room she could find. I asked to be moved and she wanted to move me next door which was no better . The room smelled moldy and had a stinch too it. Lamp shades leaning off lamps broke. Light switches in room didn’t work in certain areas the refrigerator made a buzz noise and was overheating. Blood on floor of the only elevator that seemed to be operating had to go search for ice bins. Front desk said I had to go to floor 19 and that door was locked and it was like ghost town on the floors so had to go all the way back to room and ask again about ice. Then the guy that answered was just cause as Judy because she was training him and must be teaching him you can act shirt and rude with paying customers. Your hotel needs to be remodeled and most difinitly your staff needs training in hospitality and courtesy because they lack both. Ugly stay ugly vibe will not be back and will spread word to family friends and my job to stay elsewhere. I wasn’t valued there so I’m sure my family and friends won’t be either .

The hotel was super nice and clean. Only bummer was the pillows werent to our liking. The casino had the best music of the night and the drinks were great!
The rooms need upgrading they are not cheap for them to be so out dated its a casino! There should me enough money to at least remodel 2-3 floors per year at least almost $300 for 1 night and it feels like I stayed at a motel 6! Come one Ameristar!!!

Had a wonderful stay at the Ameristar in Black Hawk recently. Everything was spot on from the room, the gaming, good eats (especially Jinya), and the helpful staff! Hot tub and views from the top are stunning! Many thanks for a wonderful getaway - will definitely return!!
Terrible stay here! There was blood on our sheets and they were so rude to us about it and the front desk lady even hung up on me. They had the worst customer service with their overnight front desk crew. Our room also smelt like sewage. They did finally change us to a new room at 12 midnight - we were exhausted of the drama. I would never stay here again simply due to lack of customer service at all and it wasn’t clean at all. The Timberline Grille was really great though, awesome meal and great customer service!!

This hotel was magnificent the customer service was quite splendid, me and my family enjoyed this hotel. The casinos was something me and my husband enjoyed, thank you Ameristar!
