"The house is full of charm and character, a beautifully renovated farmhouse with lots of space and comfort. We really enjoyed the lovely pool and hot tub, and the boules court! It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen and to enjoy meals both indoors and outside. Paul and Virginie were very helpful and kind, especially when we had to deal with some unexpected car trouble. We would be delighted to stay there again."

"A lovely house. The grounds are phenomenal with lovely views of the countryside. Plenty of room for people. Mahil was very helpful and approachable. Pool is glorious and huge. There was a heating issue with the pool but Mahil fixed it without haste. Slight issue is the shop is probably 20 minutes away. Also we paid extra for sheets and towels as didn’t have enough room in the car but there was only one towel each and no floor mat or tea towel. Otherwise very lovely property."

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

"A delightful single storey gite hosted by Mike with father Roger closeby offering helpful advice. We shared the large garden with a French cockerel (Monsieur Macron) and his ageing companions (Brigitte and Monsieur Mitterand). Vergt affords a decent supermarket, hotel, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and it provided a well situated base for trips throughout Dordogne."

"Perfect paradise for a bohemian break . Quirky cottage in a quiet corner of beautiful rural France . Directions a little difficult to follow but the final discovery worth the search ! Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious . Superbly comfy sofas and French scrabble makes the evenings simple fly by ."

"Property absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a month with friends and family. Everything you need for a self catering stay. Well thought out in everyway. Village in walking distance with a bakery and butchers. Market with local produce. Everybody so friendly in the local village. We tried talking some french which went down well! Supermarket 15 miles away with good selection. Lots to see and do around about. Will remember or French Getaway with fond memories."

Idéalement situé a proximité des beaux sites de Dordogne à découvrir. Les proprietaires nous ont parfaitement accueillis, habitent à coté du gite mais sont très discrets. "Le très mauvais temps n'a pas permis d'apprécier la région, ni les extérieurs du gîte (piscine...), dommage. Toutefois Brantôme tout proche vaut le détour et Sarlat aussi mais plus loin. "Martine and Alain were very welcoming and they have worked so hard to make the gite a happy holiday place. We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. The one thing I should say is that it is absolutely perfect for families. If you are travelling with friends, however, you should know that the master bedroom with its bathroom and separate...
