We had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious and we really enjoyed exploring the city and surrounding areas. The days we spent here were our favourite part of our trip!

Perfect hideaway for a stay in the Ticino.
Perfect location on the Piazza. Beautifully renovated building. Wonderful service, very comfy rooms, and some of the best Entrecôte we have ever eaten. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic Hotel, everything about it was brilliant, from the rooms, staff and food. Some people I noticed complained about the price of the food, but you don’t get the quality of the food for nothing.

Pre and post pandemic visits
This was our 4th stay, I believe, our first post pandemic vacation. Buffet breakfast option as of July 2nd which I looked forward to. Although varied and plentiful, quality was not to usual standard. No fresh-squeezed juices, no freshly baked viennoiseries, and only one egg option (cold omelet). Disappointed. Meals à la carte are excellent though and innovative. Their chef did not disappoint in this area. This hotel is a favorite in the Ticino canton. Easy drive to Lugano, Ascona, Locarno, Bellinzona, and Mendrisio (Foxtown Outlet). Staff is super friendly and polite. Rooms and bathrooms super clean. Bath towels could be changed to newer, even fluffier ones though soon. The actual ones are so thin and scratchy with age.

This is a great hotel with an excellent service. Good breakfast and dinner option are also great. Room is quite good, but the bathroom is on the small side. Few easy things the Hotel can improve: 1- The are no blackout curtains, in spring/summer its a bit annoying to wake up at 5/6 am due to amount of light. 2- No soap/shampoo holder in the shower. If you don't use the Hotels own shower gel, you have to put yours in the floor, which is not nice. 3- The parking on site need to be booked as well. There is no info about this when you make your reservation. Would be nice to have a notice here that once you make your reservation, send them an email/call them to reserve your parking place as well.

We had a great stay at La Tureta! I am just sorry that the breakfast is as expensive as it is, in particular now with Covid restrictions that there is no buffet available.

one of the best, if not the best, boutique hotel
Our second stay at La Tureta. It is one of the best, if not the best, boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. Aside from the clean, modern atmosphere, professional and friendly staff, the cuisine is superb. Hats off to the chef! And to the friendly retired waiter, Marco, who comes in to help occasionally, he made our stay that much more enjoyable. We will go back to La Tureta, and hope the cuisine will be just as excellent,

One thing that made my stay at La Tureta difficult was the absolutely horrible internet. On all nights I could not get more than 1 Mbps which makes it impossible to do anything (at home I have 150+ Mbps). I called to complain and they feigned ignorance of the issue and told me I could use the "business" wifi service, but that one also was at 1 Mbps in the evening. With less than 1 Mpbs you have trouble sending or receiving emails, cannot even open Instagram for example. During the day when nobody was in the hotel I got to 5 Mbps which is also very slow and sending attachments is problematic. The day manager told me that indeed to be sure that at least some service is possible they limit the maximum speed to 5 Mpbs but when lots of people use internet it can go lower (I witnessed less than 1Mbps). That is not satisfactory. I cannot recommend a hotel that installs such as miserable internet service for its guests.

Lovely hotel and restaurant!
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was AMAZING! Our room was perfect for my husband and me. The area was very nice. Just a short drive to the castles, a short drive to Lake Lugano, and even to cross into Italy. Highly recommended! Be sure to check out the Gelato place across the street too! It was fabulous!

Great hotel and service. Clean and newly renovated. The area around the hotel didn’t offer much. It’s close to Bellinzona (3 minutes by train) and about a 10 minute walk from the train station at Giubiasco.

Beautiful gem in Giubiasco
La Tureta is a well-run, cute boutique hotel. Ideal for a romantic getaway or vacation in Ticino. We stayed in the top-floor room which is suitable for 4 adults. The rooms is spacious enough, however, the bathroom/toilet is small. The entire staff is extremely friendly, professional and helpful (printing local maps for us, organizing discount fare tickets etc.). Everything in this hotel is of highest quality, from the appliances, bedding (cute baby comforter!) to the fantastic buffet breakfast with a wide selection. In fact, we really loved all the local produce (fresh fruit, local yoghurt, honey as well as typical bread and pastries) they served. Highly recommended! In the vicinity you have a take-out pizzeria (Pizzarella) and gelateria (Ciccio passami il gelato). We found both to be amazing, and we have been travelling around Italy quite a bit.

This rates as one of the nicest boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. Stunning location at the foot of the mountains. In fact turn right out of the hotel and keep driving into the hills until tou run out of road. Room was extremely comfortable. Clean and tidy, if a little on the smallest idea breakfast was outstanding. A fresh buffet with plenty of selection and very well laid out. If I had to find something to complain about, it would be listening to the reception staff having an argument whilst eating breakfast. But these things happe.

Beautifully restored, perfectly managed.
It's a restored palace! A welcoming front porch setting of tables for light snacks and cocktails or wine immediately let us know we were in for a pleasant experience. The decor is absolute perfection. They created a mural of a castle along the wall above the bed. Soft hues of red and platinum created a mood for romance and relaxation. The rain shower and tiled walls were a nice touch to the large bathroom. Plenty of storage for cosmetics and toiletries. The only thing we found lacking was amenities. Shampoo in a pump dispenser in the shower is a bit on the cheap side. The comfort of the shower pressure and bathroom size made up for it, and I bring my own hair products anyway. The mini bar included complementary soda and water. Kitchenette with stove top, sink and a cabinet, and a small comfortable dining table and chairs. We didn't need anything, and if we had, the management made sure we knew that all we had to do was ask! High tech in the rooms offered a digital display for setting the room temperature, finding local information, weather, requesting maid service or electronically asking not to be disturbed! Several good restaurants in the surrounding 10 minute walk from the train. A lovely park with photo worthy sculptures is a stroll away from the hotel.
