"I was really excited to stay at the Elegante when selecting a hotel in Beaumont.
Not only was it a beautiful hotel from the photos, but I was also really excited to be able to use their beautiful pool and pool area cabanas.
Even though they are doing some renovations in the hotel, the lobby was beautiful. You can only use the staff elevator currently, so it is a little slow getting up and down floors but not too bad. The room was pretty comfortable and the beds were nice. I liked breakfast also. The big Issue that I had was that I called and had my friend stop by to check out the hotel and ask if the pool was open and she was told that it was. She even called a few days later and spoke to the GM, Bree, and was assured that the pool was open as well as the pool area. The evening after I arrived, I decide to go sit out by the pool to relax. The pool area was locked up so I asked at the desk and was told that the pool and pool area were not open yet. It was really disappointing since that was one of the reasons that I was drawn to staying at this hotel. The morning that I was leaving, imagine my surprise when a couple was sitting by the pool. My group spoke to the couple, and they also were told that the pool and pool area were open when they called, it was closed when they arrived. They were able to persuade someone to let them sit out by the pool but were told that the pool wasn't ready yet. It seems that the staff need to get on the same page when assisting guests."
