"We needed just one night, we had come to the area to hike and it was too far to drive home in the same day. The building outside could use a little love but our room was clean, looks like recently updated and had everything we needed. Its on the main road so there will be some road noise but we were there on a Sunday night before tourist season really begins so there wasn't alot of traffic. "The hotel is very historic and charming. The staff allowed me to check in a couple hours early which was nice. It’s right on the Main Street and a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants. The property is well maintained but there are floorboard creaks due to the age. Note that they don’t maintain front desk coverage 24/7 and you have to use a physical key to get inside after desk hours. "

"If you have tried to get a hotel near Traverse City in any time except the dead of winter you know that the prices for hotels are bananas. I was drawn in by a very reasonable price for a weekend stay but I worried that it would be a stone cold dump. When we arrived we were pretty sure we were getting a dump. "This is a great rental. The camper is very spacious. Great for a family. Has everything you need in it, just bring your family, food and clothes. Is hooked up to a well and septic so no worries about water usage. Location was perfect for us! Seven minute drive to the Cherry Bowl drive in. Half hour drive to Traverse City. Owner was responsive and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back!!!"
