“Well done Radisson Blu!”
After being very impressed by the hotel and staff of the Radisson Blue in Berlin, my partner and I chose to stay here again for our trip to Basel. The Radisson Blu was in a great location, a one minute walk to central Basel area with shops, trams and eateries. The room was lovely with modern decor and extremely clean. It was a good, spacious size and came with excellent facilities. It was more like a five star than a four star as it had all the room amenities one might need including minibar/fridge, iron and ironing board, slippers, safe, lots of hangers, plastic bags for femine products, a sewing kit and other useful bathroom amenities. Also, most importantly, it had a kettle with a good supply and variety of teabags, hot chocolate and coffee (which were replaced daily). I would highly recommend this hotel. They say all hotels may encounter problems and a mark of good service is how well the hotel and it's staff resolve the problem, however the true mark of a good hotel is to have no issues which need resolving. Well done Radisson Blu!
“Great Basel hotel and location”
Radison Blu Basel Hotel has a very good location and excellent staff - efficient, friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and well furnished. Free travel pass was a nice touch - able to travel to and from airport, free of charge and use on all trams and buses in city. The No 10 (yellow tram) stops right outside hotel and it is only about 5 stops to/from railway station / airport bus stop. Basel was a great tourist destination and hotel is within easy walking distance, or you can use frequent trams directly from hotel, to all major sites and shopping/dining.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff very friendly. You can't go wrong staying in this hotel, walking distance from station and main shopping area

Good central location. Polite, efficeint service, particularly in the Restaurants and Bar. And Basel is a fantastic destination for a short break!
“Can't fault it!”
A very comfortable modern hotel in the heart of Basel, close to tourist/shopping district. Excellent buffet breakfast. Not very far from train station and airport bus (I walked).
“Good all-round hotel”
Room was available much earlier than we expected, at 10.00 a.m. Clean, bright, comfortable. Restaurant a little pricey but very good food. Indoor swimming pool excellent. The Mobility Ticket (i.e. free pass) for buses and trams was an unexpected bonus, for city centre transport and link to the airport. No 10 tram connects to the railway station and the airport bus terminus.

The Radisson SAS in Basel is quite different from that is Stockholm! Quite unassuming really. But it is a pleasant enough place to stay, well located for the trams, SBB, restaurants and shops. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The service is excellent.
“good place in basel”
I've stayed here for work reasons on alot of occasions, I try to stay here as it has a swimming pool and a reasonable (though small) gym neither of which are usually busy. This is the first time i've stayed for pleasure. The rooms and hotel are little oriented towards business travellers, though my wife thought the room was lovely and comfortable. We didn't spend any money in the hotel as it's too expensive unless your work are paying - breakfast is 31 CHF per person for example, we bought some cheese and ham etc and kept it in the in-room fridge and had that for breakfast with coffee/tea made on the in-room kettle (you may want to buy some milk from the supermarket too). The hotel is well located, a short walk (2 or 3 minutes) to barfusserplatz.
