“Great hotel!”

We really enjoyed the Astoria. It had a great location with a few excellent nearby restaurants. They provided us toothbrushes and other supplies when the airline lost our luggage. The shower in our room was fantastic!

“Very nice place to stay”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small European style but clean and comfortable. We were in walking distance of everything. This is a very nice hotel and we would stay here again.

“Lovely place”

A very good deal for your money. I would say it's a 3 star+. The room is clean and quiet with a spacious bathroom. Also in a very nice area of town. All in all, book it & you won't be dissappointed!

“HIghly recommended”

For a 3star hotel, this was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and most of them spoke english. The hotel was in a great location - within walking distance of the main sights. There were also lots of little cafes nearby for meals. If you want to take a cab from the airport, it takes about 15 mins and costs just under 30 euros. I have no complaints about this hotel at all and would happily stay there again.

Excellent value. It's an older hotel that has been completely restored. The hotel is a comfortable walk to many of the tourist and shopping areas and only a few blocks from the metro station. The staff could not be better -- polite, professional and willing to help.

“Astoria Barcelona”

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. My room was clean, beautiful and boasted a great view to the street. Only thing I'd say is to splurge the extra cash for a superior room, because you may end up in a basement-type space with a regular one. It's not that much more expensive and worth every extra penny!

“Great place to stay and just a few blocks away from everything”

This was my first trip to Europe and I took my 18 year old son. The hotel staff was very helpfull and even got us seats to a soccer game...center field 2nd level from field! They were also great with giving directions and tour suggestions and packages. We were able to walk to everything just blocks away. Safe neighborhood. I would stay again. The hotel was nice and clean, and the service was great. the pool is nice but small on the roof. We had a room over the main front street and the people in Barcelona stay out late and the noise did get a bit loud, so if you are a light sleeper, which I am, be prepared. But overall great place to stay!

“Excellent location and hotel”

This was the second time we were staying at the Astoria. We like the location, close to many venues but far from the noise. The rooftop swimming pool is small but nonetheless an appreciated addition in Barcelona. The reception staff was very helpful and professional. The hotel is in top condition and our room was impeccable. We will definitely go back to this hotel.

“Great hotel”

The staff at this hotel were amazing. They were so helpful even though we don't speak Spanish. The only niggle was that the pool area was too small. Perhaps they could have less palms and tables and more comfy sun chairs/loungers. The hotel and the room was extremely clean and quiet. An absolute pleasure to stay there. It was close to a Metro station and travel is cheap there!

“Love this hotel”

The Hotel Astoria was in a great neighborhood, not too far to walk to the Rambla. Great ambience. Loved the marble floors, spiral staircase, cartoons and paintings. Loved the rooftop pool and seating area with great view of city, Sagrada Familia spires and the funny cucumber black building thing. Room was comfortable, clean, just right for us. Computers available for internet access as well as wireless. A couple lounges for hanging out and a restaurant. Service great, friendly, helpful staff. So glad we found this great spot, would recommend to all.
