“Good quality”
Very clean. My room was very quiet. Prompt fixes (slow drain, out light fixed).
“Average three star hotel according to the European standard.”
We just returned from Barcelona and stayed in this hotel for nine nights. Don't expect too much from this basic three star hotel. However, the hotel is in a safe neighborhood and 10 to 15 minute walk from either metro station or the cental of the shopping district. There are also several buses only a couple of blocks from the hotel which will take you to several major tourist sites. For example, No. 50 bus takes you around the city you can get off for several major tourist spots along the way. There are several grocery markets a couple of blocks from the hotel you can shop for your daily meals as well. We are satisfied with the hotel location in general.
“Very Clean, great area”

“Good Hotel - Good Value”
Hotel Astoria was well located in a quieter area of Barcelona but fairly close to major attractions. Rooms were very clean and staff were courteous and helpful at all times. The hotel has many good restaurants and bars nearby. Would stay there again.
“Wonderful Hotel”
This was our first trip to Spain and we don't speak the language. The staff at the Astoria Hotel was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The room was spacious and also very clean. The Astoria Hotel is right in the city near all the restaurants and attractions. I will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Barcelona Spain.
“Great location, everything close, pleasant and helpful desk.”
Barcelona is a wonderful city and Eixample is a great location. The hotel was very pleasant and the neighborhood is lovely.
“Excellent Service”
A great hotel experience...Service friendly, rooms ouststanding. Location within walking distance of Plaza Cataluyna or one Metro stop away. No street noise and good neighborhood. Taxi stand a half block away. Near many restaurants and cafes. Hotel serves excellent lunch and dinner at affordable prices. Reception/guest services speaks English. Would return and recommend.
“Very nice hotel.”
This was a perfectly charming small, boutique hotel.I prefer this type of smaller hotel to the bigger chain hotels. I picked it based on earlier reviews and was very happy with it. Very clean, beautiful lobby, beautiful hallways. Rooms are smaller like most European hotels, but very clean and modern. Nice neighborhood to walk around in, one subway stop to La Rambla. We stayed here for seven nights in May. Hotel staff very helpful. We did not take the breakfast as there were many little shops and bars you could eat for way less money and a lot more fun right in the neighborhood. There is a lovely rooftop deck with a small pool. Was our first trip to Barcelona and it is a wonderful city and I would go back to this hotel.
“Love this hotel”
The Hotel Astoria was in a great neighborhood, not too far to walk to the Rambla. Great ambience. Loved the marble floors, spiral staircase, cartoons and paintings. Loved the rooftop pool and seating area with great view of city, Sagrada Familia spires and the funny cucumber black building thing. Room was comfortable, clean, just right for us. Computers available for internet access as well as wireless. A couple lounges for hanging out and a restaurant. Service great, friendly, helpful staff. So glad we found this great spot, would recommend to all.
“Okay But Expensive”
Traveled around Spain in April 2011 and stayed at several hotels. By far, this was the most expensive for a tiny room. They put us on the first floor where there was construction going on. This wasn't disclosed at the time of booking, or we would've looked elsewhere. They tried to keep the noise down, but the noise still woke us up every morning but Sunday. The location wasn't bad though. Two blocks from the Metro (Diagonal) and walking distance from Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. Two blocks from Rambla de Catalunya, etc. Overall, the experience was just okay!
