Dining
Restaurant - The hotel restaurant has a dome in the center of the ceiling with tiny pinprick lights creating a night sky effect. Along one wall is a yellow and blue stained glass window, continuing the sun and sea theme of the hotel. Seating 60, it serves buffet breakfast and à la carte lunch and dinner. The main body of the room is softly lit and has a series of small round tables, each surrounded by four dark pink armchairs. To one side is a brighter seating area, decorated with large original artworks in the style of Cezanne, and furnished with sofas. During the day, light streams in through a glass ceiling, stained in bold primary covers. The bar serves drinks and light snacks from 7 AM - midnight. The pianist performs every night from 8 PM - midnight.

“Both great location and noise ;)”
Medium class hotel with a great location (walking distance to everything in the downtown). However it is quite loud in the neighbourhood due to the traffic.
“Nice Hotel”
The location of this hotel and it's close proximity to Placa de Catalunya was what made our stay so great! We were only around the corner from all the things we wanted to see and easy access to public transportation. The service was ok, nothing spectacular, but the staff did speak English and were pleasant enough. The room was bare bones but clean and quiet. We were surprised that no washcloths or toiletries were provided except bath wash and shampoo. The bar area was very quiet, but when we asked at the front desk for a bartender they obliged with a very nice person. Prices were good too.
“Excellent choice”
Newly remodeled with modern decor, good sized room, beds very comfortable, large bathroom, quiet for such a bustling city. Bars and restaurants in easy walking distance (within 7-8 blocks). Very close to subway station (2 blocks) and 5 or 6 blocks from Las Ramblas and other tourist sights, including Palau de la Musica Catalana, the Cathedral, and Palau Reial with Roman ruins excavated. Definitely would stay again.
“Great location; reasonably priced”
Hotel was in a great location - just a few blocks from Las Ramblas, metro, shopping, etc. Also, there is a shuttle that's run a few blocks away from the hotel that takes you to and from the airport and is quick and significantly cheaper than taking a taxi, as there is no metro that runs to the airport.
“Great Location”
The carpets in the hotel need updating and it would be nice to have TV that had at least one english channel. The Hotel is in a great location to walk to everything. LaRamblas is only 2 streets over very close to the pissaco museum and other great sites. Never ate in the restraunt on site so not sure if its any good. Was told to watch out for pickpockets but never saw any or had any trouble with them. Very safe city with plenty of police around, felt safe to walk around at night . The staff was great and all could speak english. I can't wait to go back to Barcelona would most definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Two Texans”
The hotel was located in a relatively quite neighborhood with easy access to some restaurants. It provided a relaxing atmosphere post cruise. We did note that hotel ratings and expectations for Europe are not comparable to those in the US. So, one must adjust their expectations accordingly. In the US, I would rate this hotel as closer to a 3.
“Hotel was just okay”
Hotel was okay. The common area was nice and updated. However, the rooms were old and dated looking. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. There are nicer places to stay for the money.
“Great Hotel in Barcelona and very reasonably priced!”
My wife and I loved this hotel. The staff spoke English, which was great since our Spanish isn't very good. This hotel is very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant, and the hotel is very well located to a lot of the sights you might like to see in Barcelona, including Las Ramblas. Would highly recommend!
“OK, if location is important to you...”
We arrived at the hotel at about 9 am after a red eye flight from JFK. Rooms weren't ready so we napped on some couches near the hotel's offices. Rooms were ready by 11 am or so. The rooms are adequate. The beds are ok at best. The pillows are extremely thin. You can almost see daylight through them. The bathrooms are adequate but lacked wash clothes. The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful and spoke English well. The location is excellent. Easy 2 minute walk to Palau de le Musica (I highly recommend taking the tour and/or attending a concert). Shops, cafes and restaurants are all near by as well. Great hotel if you want to be able to walk around and not be dependent on taxis. Poor hotel if bare bones, not especially clean or modern is a major turn off for you.
“Good hotel in Barcelona”
Peoples are nice there, despite their english is not fluent. They try their best to communicate with customer. Drink is a little bit expensive and overcharged to me. Overall it is nice to have drink when all shop is closed in the surrounding area.

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
