“Clean centrally located establishment”
If you like modern with clean lines then this is the place for you. Clutter free and contemporary and a pleasant 15 minutes walk to the top of La Rambla or a 30 mintues walk down to the Port area. Lots of local eateries for both early breakfast or late night dinner. Let down slightly by the hotel service; some of the reception staff are not forthcoming with information on local amenities or attractions, either intentionally or perhaps a language barrier. Also the toiletiries in the rooms are not adequately replaced each day.
“Fantastic location”
Modern, clean, comfortable rooms with hi-tech bathrooms! The location was central to all the interesting sections of the city, and right in between two of the major boulevards with gorgeous shops and cafes. Staff were professional and courteous.
“Good Central Hotel”
Good central position - about 10 mins walk from Las Ramblas - quiet in the evening. Excellent breakfast although very expensive at Euro.18- plus tax. Service - very accommodating and helpful. Wifi included at no extra charge. Not necessary to dine at the restaurant in the hotel as there is ample choice outside although Las Ramblas restaurants especially Tapas Bars are set up for tourists (read: poor food but low prices.)
“A very recommended hotel”
We found this hotel to be in an excellent location for our needs. Very clean. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. 2 Goudi buildings within 5 minutes walk and a leisurely stroll down Gracis will get you to the placa Catalonia in only 15-20 minutes. It also takes you past a whole load of designer clothes shops! Small point: Cocktails in the hotel bar are way too expensive!

“WIll certainly stay at the Alexandra again”
My wife and I stayed three nights. Hotel is modern, clean, comfartable and staff are polite and helpful. The Alexandra is very well located for the Gaudi houses and Las Ramblas. Area is very chic with many fashion stores, restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. Recommend you have breakfast in a small cafe just round the corner from the Hotel - cheaper and great selection. Will certainly stay here again.
“Relaxing and Comfortable”
I took my wife away for a 3 day brak in Barcelona to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We stayed at the Hotel Alexandra which was right in the heart of the city - Great Location. The hotel is a modern boutique style hotel and we found it very quiet. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and spoke good english of needed, they were also very accomodating of my effortd to speak Spanish to them. I wouldrecommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right in the heart of Barcelona
“Will definately stay there again, friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in!”
The hotel staff was extremely helpful, in recommending good restaurants, night clubs, allocating different tour operators. Making bookings Basically they accomodated our every need. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Brilliant location and very safe and classy neighbourhood away from the crowded La Ramblas.
“A great place to stay”
The hotel itself and the rooms were absolutly lovely they were clean, comftable and far better than we expected, the hotel was also in a great location close to the city centre and the staff were friendly and helpful.
“Good hotel for beautiful city”
My partner and I stayed at the Alexandra for one night on our way back from southern Spain and were very impressed both by its proximity to the centre of the city and its cleanliness. We were upgraded to a Superior room which had a lot of the trinket we can't usually afford and the hotel staff spoke excellent English. The room was well presented and the bathroom particularly impressed us. We drove to the hotel which we were a little nervous about but it turned out to be very easy to find and has its own car park which made the experience very straightforward. We easily ambled to the Ramblas within 20 minutes and a lot of the Gaudi sights are very close by. All in all we found it a very relaxing and pleasant place to stay and woul definitely stay there again.
