“Comfortable but Very Basic”

This hotel would have been a grand old hotel in it's heyday, but my guess is, that was back in the late 60's or 70's. It now looks very old and is quite run down. That's not to say it wasn't appropriate. The queen size bed was relativly new and very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and the room was quiet, being well off the busy road it is situated on. The staff were pleasant but spoke very little English. If you are going to the BITEC centre for an exhibition, it is an easy 12 minute walk or 3 minute taxi ride to get there. It's quicker to walk back as the taxi needs to go around the long way due to the freeway access. I couldn't get a business card for the hotel in either Thai or English, essential if your taxi is going to get you back there. One of the staff did write the address on paper for me in Thai so I could show the taxi driver, and this worked every time. Overall reasonable value for the price you pay and I would stay again. Just don't expect too much as the hotel doesn't come up as well in real life as it does in the web site pictures.
