"I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island. "

"Nicely appointed home just outside of Ponta Delgada. Clean, and spacious with beautiful gardens. We were 2 couples on our first visit to Sao Miguel and the proximity to the airport and city gave us the perfect "home base" while traveling the beautiful island of Sao Miguel. "We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location (and just around the corner from the hot springs of Poça da Dona Beija), easy to walk all around the main town of Furnas. We appreciated the delightful local snacks provided by our host. The main bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed all the space and closet room for us to unpack and live comfortably for 5 nights.
