"This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! "Me and my boyfriend came to Maine to hike in Acadia National Park and despite the distance (~40 mins) from ANP, decided to stay here. We didn’t regret the decision! We loved coming back here to relax at the end of the day. We even took advantage of the kayaks one morning. The area is just very peaceful overall and this cabin is very cozy."

"Plenty of space for our family of 9. Kitchen was well equipped. Granddaughter loved the wooden ship play set. Bicycles and kayaks were great additions to amenities and were enjoyed but some needed maintenance for improved comfort would be good. Hot tub was very well chlorinated."

"What a wonderful find. 15 minutes to Acadia; 25 minutes to Bar Harbor. This 2 BR unit had everything we needed. James is a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with, helpful ( He even carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs to the unit). Beds were very comfortable.Area was quiet. We enjoyed looking a birds & wild turkeys out our window. Be aware the unit is up a flight of stairs which is clearly stated & shown in the pictures. I would stay here again next time I come to Maine."

"It was a bit too close to a main road so road noise could be heard, particularly when sitting on the porch. There is no handrail up to the bedroom and the steps are rather steep and dark...not a good set up for older patrons or those with mobility issues. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable and a nice area to easily walk the dogs outside. The setting is very pretty on a river and canoes and kayaks are available to use."

"Overall the place was nice. We didn’t get a chance to kayak, but we enjoyed our stay regardless. The kitchen was well stocked and we made all our dinners there. The bathroom had some black mold on the ceiling, which was concerning. The directions could also have been more descriptive, we got there after dark and had trouble finding the place."
