"I was very pleased with this hotel I had never stayed at this particular one. I was very happy with its cleanliness and up to date quality. I loved it my family loved it. Great pool area as well."

2/10 Terrible

"I searched for a room in Carlsbad and it offered La Quinta. There is a La Quinta in Carlsbad NM. With out realizing Expedia was not offering the Laquinta in Carlsbad, I booked it and realized it was In Artesia 50 minutes the opposite direction to The Carlsbad Cavern. I called Expedia with in 5 maybe 10 minutes. They said they could refund my money if the Hotel agreed. I called the Hotel and talked to the attendant and he was not frienldly at all. He refused and said it was company policy. I had Expedia call and they got the same result. It may not have such a problem if the Manager at the La Quinta in Artesia New Mexico was a little nicer an concilitory conciliatory about the matter. We travel alot and will not use the La Quinta Hotel anymore."

"Husband and I traveled to see our daughter graduate. We originally had a room reserved what we didn’t know then an hr away and that’s was to far for our visit! All of the hotels were booked except here! Just had to wait a lil so they can clean a room for us! Staff was friendly. Hotel room was clean nice bed very comfortable. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Also offered cable and WiFi! Great stay and if ever back ther might stay again!"

"I was disappointed that the pool was closed. This hotel is beautiful, and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast is a sit down cooked to order restaurant breakfast--a step up from most. There are some maintenance issues that need to be adressed such as the broken card reader on the auxiliary entry door and the non functional lobby restroom, but overall it's a nice place to stay. I'm looking forward to my next stay."
