“Outstanding va lue”
Exceptional value; friendly staff; excellent continental breakfast
“Quiet Business-Like Stay”
We recently stayed 5 nights at the Hawthorn Suites and were very impressed by the value. A comfortable bedroom, with a small living room and kitchen. Great full breakfast and light dinner offerred. Pool, hot-tub, tenis court ande bargeques. Everything was clean and 3-4 star quality. We will certainly book in to this hotel again!
“great value”
We stayed at this Hawthorn Suites when our home was being repaired. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dinner buffet Monday through Thursday nights - just one entree and a salad bar, but it was great to have a free meal waiting when you got "home" each night. There was a full breakfast buffet each morning, but it did get a little tedious. The room itself was very comfortable with a pillow topped mattress and a tv in both the living room and bedroom. We switched to a two bedroom suite when our son came home for spring break and it was wonderful - two bedrooms and two full baths plus an oven and fireplace. I would have liked the oven in the one room suite. This would be a great choice for the Asian traveler. They had miso soup each morning for breakfast and had Japanese and Chinese television stations and free newspapers. The location was right across from a bus stop and was walkable to a grocery store and several restaurants.

We were very please with accommodations. The staff was very helpful and the room was very traveler-friendly. We enjoyed our visit immensely and will be happy to stay there again.

Remember this hotel is rated at 2.5. As a customer this is a 5 for a 2.5 hotel. The staff was as good as we could expect. Our room had a complete kitchen yet the free breakfast was good enough to forget the kitchen. There are free evening meals during weekdays however we always out until after the dinner. Then we appreciated the kitchen. For us coffee is important and our room did not have the toy 4 cup maker but a regular size one that gave us the amount of what we enjoy. It was quiet however the quantity and quality of the guests may have something to do with the quiet. This hotel is very close to the U of M campus and so a home game of any sport may change the atmosphere of the hotel. So there were some broken tiles in the bath room, signs of wear here and there but it was clean and friendly. If you need a 5 star hotel this is not for you. If you want to be treated well , have clean rooms then yes. Very close to ( 6 minutes) to Ann Arbor and a grocery store almost within walking distance.
“Nice rooms, good shuttle service, no late checkout”
Excellent room size, overall hotel experience very good. I was informed by the front desk staff that late check-out is not an option. Shuttle transportation is convenient.
“Friendly & comfortable hotel”
The staff were very friendly and room was clean & comfortable. One more thing was free foods for diner(Mon-Thu). ^^
