“Comfort Suites South - Stay Here.”

I depend on reviews to guide my stay. So here you go, very simply put stay here! Comfort Suites South. 6318 Ventura Drive, Amarillo, TX 79110 USA My Texas friends and business contacts were amazed by the outstanding comfort, service, large clean suites. Easy to access. Very safe. Elevator!! Beds are clean and very comfortable. Rooms are quiet. Easy access to food, shopping, and access travel. This stay was a true pleasue.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the staff was very friendly especially when I asked for directions to a restaurant. Will Definitely stay at this hotel again.

“Nice Location & Room”

Nice Location and Room. My children used the pool, and enjoyed it... The breakfast ends at 9:00 AM, which was a little early for us...

I made the reservations for my sister and husband, my sister-in-law and husband, and ourselves. They were very satisfied with the rooms we got. This made me feel good because they complimented everything about the rooms. We do plan to stay here again.

“Great motel”

We had a very pleasant relaxing stay. All the accomadations were to our expectations. I have always had good experiences at these motels.

“Great comfort for a great price!”

This was our first stay at this Comfort Suites. We have stayed at other hotels in this same chain and while we like the chain, this particular hotel was an upgrade from the usual AND at the same price. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a flat screen TV, sofa, fridge & microwave, etc. We tried out the indoor pool and hot tub, and they felt good after 12 hours on the road. The hotel was fairly quiet...they need to adjust the room doors so they don't slam...but that was a minor problem. The breakfast is also an upgrade from others in this or similar chains. The sausage and eggs were tasty, the biscuits and gravy were good as were the freshly made waffles. The other usual items sweet rolls, muffins, cereal, toast, bagels, coffee, etc. were also present. There is a Whataburger, Waffle House, and a couple of other eating places within a block. We will stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

“Large room, comfortable beds”

We loved this hotel, we only stayed for one night on a stop over from San Antonio to Denver. The front desk was quick, efficient, and friendly. We had the 2 queens and a pull out sofa room. It was a great fit, I wish I would have booked this room going to San Antonio. It fit all 5 of us fine. Sofa beds are never very comfortable, but my 12 yr old loved it and said she slept great. I called the front desk for blankets and pillows for the pull-out she said we could pick them up at the front desk, I sent the kids to pick up the sheets and the clerk was already on her way down the hall with our items. We didn't use the pool, but we did eat breakfast, and it was comparable to the other hotels that serve breakfast (good enough to get us on our way) we made waffles, there were cheese omelets, and sausage. along with breads and cereal. I saw another family eating and they were moving across the state, they were very pleased that they were allowed to leave their truck with all their household items in front of the hotel over night and nobody bothered it, they thanked the front desk for keeping an eye on their stuff. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, we had a fridge and microwave and there were vending machines that we bought popcorn and drinks from. We felt safe leaving our van and luggage in the parking lot overnight and felt safe in our room, we never heard anyone in the hall or in the rooms next to us.

“Always a good visit!”

We stay in this hotel fairly often. We like the location, staff, & breakfast offerings. A McDonalds, Whataburger, & Waffle House are nearby. Rooms are nicely appointed. The only unusual thing that happened on our last stay was the management decided not to have the cleaning staff available to clean rooms everyday since there were few guests at the time. Our room went two days without being cleaned...& no warning. I found out by asking...the desk staff apologized & offered fresh towels. We will continue staying there.

“Alright for a quick stay”

Hotel was nothing fancy but an ok place to sleep for the weekend. Had some issues with them figuring out I used expedia to pay for the room. I ended up getting charged by them again for the 2 night stay. They are in the process of removing it.

“clean decent place in Amarillo”

We needed a place for our family of 6 (mom and dad with four kids!) to get a clean night's sleep on the road home, and this place delivered. A little south of town (still on a on major freeway) and therefore likely not as high visibility as those on the main highway, the extra 4 minutes drive time was no problem. Nice big clean room, comfy beds, decent (free) breakfast, free wireless -- no surprises, no complaints. I'd have no hesitation if I needed to stay there again.
